Worked beautifully for me. Make sure to read the instructions when fitting the new battery. Cutting the old battery connections and using them as solder points for the new battery is very much easier than trying to unsolder the old battery from the board.

I've been in electronics a very long time. I recommend you cut the leads off the old battery right next to the battery and attach the new battery's leads to the old battery's leads. Trying to unsolder the old battery from the circuit board is not worth the effort and it's a very delicate board. It has lots of surface mounted components, very small circuitry, and the board/components will most likely be damaged mechanically or by the heat applied. This is a wave soldered board in a machine as are most boards today. There is absolutely no advantage/purpose gained by trying to unsolder the original battery.

I've only owned this battery pack for about 6 months and it already is having problem sometimes keeping a full charge. I say sometimes because at times, I charge up my shaver, then a couple of days later, the battery shows. Then I give it a full charge again, the batteries work fine. I've since changed my review from 5 star to 2.

Below is My Original 5 Star Review:

I got this to change out the old, dead batteries for my Norelco shaver.

I didn't even need to solder the connectors together. Instead, I left a little bit of the connector on the old connection tabs and added solder to that part. Removed the old battery and then bent back the connection tabs add added solder to the connection tabs of the new battery.

Now my shaver works cordless, as good as new.

So far, so good. The batteries arrived on time and look to be an exact replacement. I soldered it in place yesterday. It took a charge, so all looks good. I will report back in a few months after using the new batteries. Like others I would caution that anyone not comfortable taking apart small pieces (and putting them back together in the right order) and using a small soldering iron should not attempt this. Keep your eye on the polarity of the original and replacement batteries. I carefully soldered in the wrong way the first time.

The batteries in my rather old Norelco T980 were on their way out, after looking at current trimmers I decided to replace the batteries rather than buy a new trimmer. Couldn't find any disassembly instructions online so I just dove in, took about a half hour to get it torn down to confirm these were the batteries I needed. Two days later (I love Prime) they arrived and with a bit of soldering work my trimmer is good as new. You do have to confirm that you get the polarity matched up correctly before soldering the new pack in.

I purchased this battery in January. It took about a month before I got it installed by an authorized Norelco repairman. So its been in use approximately 4 months and it barely holds a charge longer than the one i replaced it with. Needless to say I'm not pleased with the results. The last time i changed the battery it held strong for 3 or 4 years, not months.

Used these batteries to replace the old ones in my Norelco 8825XL. They fit fine, however you need to be a bit handy with a small tip soldering iron and having the right size torque tip screw driver helps. I have been using them about 1 1/2 months and they perform well and seem to hold a charge well.
