Although I don't like any of the hot rollers as well as some older versions I have used, this set isn't bad. The idea of it heating only three clips at a time was apparent to me when I read the description. However, when using it, I noticed that any clips placed on the heated bar heat up very quickly. Even though constantly replacing them is inconvenient, it's possible. On the other hand, the clips were so hot, I didn't think that would be very good for my hair along with the heated rollers.

Clips on the rollers leave a line in the hair where they attach. I tried and tried to position the clips a different way, but they would work better without clips. (just holding them?) This product does not do what I need it to do.

I just got off the phone with a Conair service rep. I explained that there is not enough room in the case to heat the rollers and more than 3 clips. He looked into it and agreed, suggesting that I return the set if I wanted to use more than 3 rollers at a time. It looks like I could heat fewer rollers and more clips, although the clips don't fit as well on the bars for the rollers. It is mystifying to me that a product with the name "Hot Clips" that cannot heat all the clips for the rollers made it onto store shelves.
