Overall, this is a pretty good knife. The handles are comfortable, the assist is fast and powerful, and the blade is wicked. Just the shape and size alone boast intimidation! The blade did come sharp. Knife seems well balanced, comfortable, and sturdy. This might have earned 5 stars, but it has some flaws. First, the assist spring rattles in the grip when the blade is fully extended. Second, it does not have a thumb "knob" to open off of the blade. Which I knew when I bought it, but I think it should have one. Third, I do not like how the blade sits in the frame. It is loose (side to side), and the hole at the bottom of the grips is cheesy, and doesn't protect a small part of the blade. Lastly, the lanyard is pretty poor. It's just like a woven shoelace.

Otherwise, for less than $10, it is not a bad knife. I would not recommend it as an EDC knife, but that would be a possible use. But, it is a nice knife to have!

Wish there was an option for zero stars.
This knife is garbage. This is the 2nd folding MTECH knife I have purchase and it will be the last.

Pros:
-Best part about this knife was the advertising picture. Decent lanyard.

Cons:
-Severally dented aluminum handle, assuming it's real aluminium, because it feels like plastic, and would explain the damage.
-Black coating on the blade is chipped off in spots.
-DULL blade, which really pisses me off. A knife company that sends out dull knives? Um, no.
-Extremely difficult to release the blade with the index flipper even with the assisted opening. Liner lock is extremely thin and weak looking (picture).
-Worthless lanyard hole due to the EXPOSED BLADE (picture).

The look alone is enough to scary the daylights out of somewhat.........even a zombie!!! Decent ergonomics, eye catching design, and decent blade. What more could you ask for. The practical use of this might not be too high but as for it being a great conversation piece and have that "WOW " potential is why I bought it in the first place. Hey, Mtech, would like to see this with just a straight edge too. If I have one caveat it is this rage with serrated blades.............too many of them being made! Other than that nice job!!

blade doesn't come as sharp as expected. Not for EDC. screw that holds blade together went missing after a few days worth of use. It looks neat and the assisted opening is smooth.Right now it's a glorified box cutter that dulls rather quickly. I need to find a replacement screw for the top of the blade but for now it still holds

I own other MTech knives and have found the quality to be satisfactory for the price. Therefore I discounted other negative reviews on this knife because it looks cool and quality is a relative term. What a Survivalist may find unacceptable, other like myself may find perfectly acceptable for their needs and purposes. I just needed a knife for utility work on the farm.

Unfortunately, the BLADE LOCK on this knife does not engage properly. Most times, you must manually push the lock over. In my opinion, as a basic safety feature of any knife, it should snap lock automatically, and securely. It does not.

If the lock does not hold, you will lose fingers. Its that simple. Because the user must manually move the blade lock over so it blocks the blade from folding, I am not sure what prevents it from moving back to its normal position if you flex the blade a few times while in use. Once the pressure is removed from the blade lock, will it creep back to its original (ineffective) position ? Who knows.......

I just dont trust it. Neither should you.

There are numerous Review Complaints with this knife on the same issue. The most basic safety function of your product does not work.
Come On MTech. You guys sell good knives. How about stepping up the QUALITY CONTROL on this model.

Wow, I am NO avid knife collector by any means so my review is based on your average Joe who hunts, camps and shoots all types of weapons, BUT does not nerd out on knife brands and makes. If it works, it works. I have my share of blades both expensive and inexpensive and I was really expecting something not as good as this. Its bulky and SUPER spring assisted. I love the look and feel. NOT VERY SHARP but average. So I will see how it gets and maintains an edge. I have NO problem with this purchase at all. Might buy another. Took the lanyard off though. I wanted to keep it on but it really made the blade seem less aggressive looking.

Might not be best used for a knife fight but in a pinch carrying this thing around would be cool if for non other than a conversation piece. I was hesitant about the green color but it's a good green that stands out. The blade is cool and sort of scary on it's own. I like the spring assist open on it too. It came sharpened right out of the box. However, it could use a sharpening tweak! For the price this is a nice knife!

My new E.D.C.. Opens fast. Easy to locate large opener tab. Wish it was a little pointier, but they make one just like this with a thinner blade. Otherwise this is quite a bargain. Out of 80 knives, I carry this one. Opens fast, makes that obvious "sound" when engaged. If I lose it, just get another one. It has a skull motif in the purple paint. Don't mind that, its kinda cool. Take the lanyard thing off if yer a guy.
