This product recommended by my vet for my grieving cat absolutely works. It is a pheromone that is emitted by plugging in the bottled solution into an outlet. My crying, fearful, nervous, unhappy litter-mate Sammie, who was present at a difficult death of her brother Slim, could not be consoled until this product came into the house. It took only one day before I noticed a change. We plugged it into the living room and the bedroom. After two weeks, she is much calmer, has stopped crying, asking me to follow her to her food bowl and is becoming independent again. If this had not worked we would have had to put her on sedatives, which would not have allowed healing interaction, rather put her in a fog. Knowing Sammie is healing is helping my own healing process from the loss of a beloved family member.

Comfort Zone seems comforting

I haven't done any scientific study but it seems that cats are less combative and more compatible when I keep the diffusers going in each room. I notice more 'accidents" if the bottles happen to run out. I believe this product does help keep a calmer household. We have about 10 house cats who are in and out of the house in the summer and mostly inside in winter. They are a lot of work, but we love them anyway.

using Feliway keeps the smell away!

I have a large Ragamuffin feline who startles easily and began to use the family room carpet as her litterbox whenever she was frightened by anything. At the recommendation of our Veterinarian, I began to use the Feliway diffuser about 6 months back. There have been a few accidents since, but really so improved with her behavior that I am thrilled with this product and DO recommend others to try if this sounds familiar to them. I use 1 diffuser in a room 20x12 ft. I am thinking of putting a diffuser at each end of the room in the hopes of stopping ALL soiling in the future. If Shirley is relaxed by the Feliway and not soiling the carpet, then I too am relaxed and so pleased with the product!!

Great stuff

Have 5 cats, a couple of whom are "fussy." I use Dr.Elsey's low-dust litter and put Citrus Magic odor altering dust on. This usually works, but every so often, the cats, of different ages go on strike (As in: where should I pee today? Is next to the box as good as in the box? Maybe I should raise my tail over the edge today?). Vet says this is not uncommon with such a mixed bunch of rescues.

However, cat pheromone works wonders and even my 3 yr old very unfriendly (not handled as a babe I think), is starting to PURR, roll over, let me tickle her belly. Oh joy!

Pricey, but worth it to have content critters.
It works better on some than others...but all seem to benefit.

Unbelievable Product!

Wow, this really worked. I must say I was very skeptical, but was pretty desperate to try anything. While we were on vacation we had a heater installed in our house and something happened during the process apparently that terrified our cat. When we came home he refused to come in the house and if we did bring him in the house he would just hide under the bed. He eventually wouldn't even let us bring him in the house and would just run under the house as we approached. Then if we were lucky enough to catch him and tried to pick him up he became mean-hissing, biting and scratching. This went on for weeks and nothing we did could get him back in the house and used to the new heater. He pretty much became a wild kitty. I finally tried this as a last option to help him calm down. It totally worked. We placed the diffuser in the bedroom where he would hide under the bed, gathered up our courage and caught him then kept him in the house for about 4 days. Slowly he started coming out from under the bed, sniffing the diffuser and soon was exploring the rest of the house. Eventually he was able to walk by the heater. He is now back to his old self-comes in and out of the house, sleeps on our laps and plays with anything that moves.

This is the most wonderful product. My cats have never been happier. I have 9 cats 3 of whom have never gotton along so bad that one would never come out of the bedroom. Now, she not only comes out, she runs around the house, and the three of them eat at the dish sometimes. And she would never have trusted them to even look at them before. I am so grateful to have found this product. I will never allow my house to be out of it, ever!!

A little more harmonious tribe

Seems to create a somewhat more harmonious group. We have 4 cats, so basically a small pride of domestic kitties. I purchased this product at the suggestion of the girls at our Vet clinic. We plugged one in downstairs in the kittie box area and one upstairs in the communal kitchen area where most hierarchical spats seem to occur. Everyone seems to be a little mellower, our black female kitty (who has been mildly psychotic her entire life and thinks her tail is a foreign object) is somewhat improved, but not as significantly affected by the kitty pheromone as we had hoped. Overall, there is definitely improvement in the inner-kitty relationships among the 4, just not as much as we had hoped. We will continue to buy the refills going forward as it does seem to quell some of the spats we were experiencing before.
