I bought this radio for its size and the aux input. It also stores the cord inside which is handy because a lot of other radios the cord is separate and can be lost. Sounds pretty good for its size too. Average (acceptable) reception.

The compact design is great for small spaces or when you're traveling. It picks up stations over 70 miles away with great clarity. Aux jack works just as it should so I can plug in my iPod when I don't want to listen to the radio.

The sound is good but not great. As long as you're in the same room as the radio it is fine but not going to fill your home with sound. I've taken it camping and it works fine for on-site camping. It's loud enough to hear around a campfire but without having to worry to much about bothering other campers near by.

Another convenient feature is that the cord can be stored inside the radio. If you don't have batteries in the radio the cord can be wrapped up to be stored inside that area. If you do that, fold down the antenna and handle it stores into a nice rectangle for easy storage or packing.

I just wish it had a clock on it, but that wasn't part of the description so no faulting the manufacturer for that. If that is something that you are wanting in a radio this may not be the one for you. But overall this radio is great and it's endure a few drops for 4 feet up or less without affecting any of the quality.

The AM signal quality is poor, as though Jensen failed make the internal AM antenna a sufficient length. FM signal quality is decent and on paper this unit looks great as an AM and NPR listening radio. Pass on it if those are your intentions.

Bought the last one locally at Tar-Je' for 16 bucks, blue was the only color choice... (Would have preferred black but, not at the higher asking price) The reception is very good unless, you live in the stix, the Aux-In works by converting my Galaxy S-3 phones' 3.5mm stereo headphone output to a mono output to the single speaker. Has a built-in AC cord and runs on C batteries also!

The actual sound is better than expected for a small speaker, plenty loud also. It has a large tuner dial making it easier to lock down or "fine tune" radio channels to taste. Sturdy handle and swivel antennae are a bonus.

The actual dimensions are: 7"W x 5"H x 2.5" Thick. The speaker grill is molded to look like a larger 4.5" speaker but it is only a 2". The molded housing IS thick and will take a beating. (I might look into installing a larger/ quality speaker just because it was so inexpensive)

Bottom Line: This will be perfect to throw in a carry-on bag along with our other important items for a 2 week trip to the Virgin Islands.
