I ordered even after reading the review about the broken chips. I'm happy to say, my bags came with many whole pieces, so very happy with that. The fiber and protein sold me on this chip. What a hearty yet light chip. I haven't tried any other flavor besides the Chipotle BBQ. I'm so pleased with the smoky, spiced flavor. A crunch chip, between a corn chip and potato chip. It's hard to stop once you start. I figured I'd get bored after a bulk shipment of 6 bags...but this satisfies my salty cravings and I haven't gotten sick of them yet! Yummy, definitely a 5 star!

I tried these chips on a whim (got a single bag from a local store). The flavor is excellent -- nicely spicy, not overdone -- and the texture of the chips is incredible: light and crispy. (There were very few broken chips in the bag I got, FWIW.) With 4 grams of protein and 5 grams of fiber per ounce, they qualify as real food (as opposed to junk food masquerading as good for you) in my book. I haven't tried the other flavors and doubt that I will -- these are soooo good, and especially with green chile dip.

This was not the first time I have bought this product. I first ordered them about a year ago because I had started on a gluten-free diet and still wanted to enjoy chips. I was thrilled with the Black Bean Chipotle BBQ chips back then! They were spicy hot but not too hot...but the best thing about them was the texture of the chips. They were very crispy, so much so that when I first opened a bag, the majority of the chips were still WHOLE. In other words, the chips were quite firm, which made them very crunchy and kept them from crumbling.

Well, evidently, the manufacturer has changed the recipe. These are not the same chips anymore. Now the texture is quite mealy and crumbly. This time when I opened the bag, I found less than a dozen whole chips. The rest of the bag was nothing but broken scraps of chips. And the taste? Not nearly as spicy, and some of the chips had no chipotle BBQ flavoring on them at all! And they have a cloying, mealy aftertaste. Why manufacturers change the recipe of a product that is already superior I'll never understand. I will never buy Beanitos again.

I've only had the plain Beanitos before, so I was interested to see what these flavored ones would be like. They're pretty spicy, but they're not too smoky (smokiness is something I always worry about with anything "chipotle"). I don't know that I'd put them in salsa (that might be a bit much), but they'd go well with cheese dip, guacamole, bean dip, or just eating on their own.

Love the texture -- it's crunchy but not hard. And these are not "beany" tasting, which is nice. I had mine about two months before the expiration date printed on the package and they were fine. Please note: mine were pretty broken up when they arrived (through a subscription box and to be fair, there was a large can of energy drink in there as well, which may have contributed to their demise).

Nutritionally, these have a moderate amount of sodium (120 mg per 1 ounce serving). I kind of think this counts as more than "lightly salted" as the package claims. They're gluten free, kosher, and vegan, so they're suitable for a variety of specialized diets. You can see the full ingredients list and allergy warnings (these are manufactured in a shared facility) if you scroll down the product page. Fiber (5g) and protein (4g) levels are quite good for a packaged chip.

All-in-all, I'm glad I got a chance to try these. Now I need to go brush my teeth, though, because the garlic and onion powder kind of tend to stick with you.

I've said to so many people "If they can turn veggies into snacks I'd live on them." These are a start. Chips made from beans. And they're actually good. Better than good. And the don't taste like beans. Not that I would mind if they did.

I'd always seen these in stores and avoided them because of the name and dark color- I just couldn't envision myself eating 'bean chips.' I was very skeptical when I broke into my first bag of Chipotle BBQ but there was a sweet and zesty aroma wafting up that was quite inviting. The chips themselves were thicker than I'd expected and visibly coated in flavor. They actually had a little bit of a bit, but more of a spice than a 'hot' heat. The texture was similar to a thick tortilla chip and these were great for dipping in guacamole, or even 7 layer dip, as they held up well without breaking. Because they are high in fiber and protein, I found they also made a great low calorie snack option to curb my cravings between breakfast and lunch. I enjoyed them so much I bought a bag to share with my family at our next cookout! I received my initial bag from Influenster, though all opinions here are my own.

These are SOOOOOO good! I received these as a sample and they were gone pretty much instantly. I love spicy food and this product had just enough spice to be hot but, still flavorful. They are like a spicy bbq baked chip. These would be fantastic with hummus, salsa or even guacamole. Maybe make nachos? I love that they are gluten free since we have allergies in our home as well as non GMO certified. It's comforting to have snack choices that I know are safe for my children to eat . I tested your Beanitos products for free, but my opinions are my own.
