Gloves are recommended. The die hangs around for bit, but eventually goes away. This applies to wherever you do this and the pet's coat. Make sure to apply it correctly or you pet will have purple, blueish tones. Also, if your pet is multi-colored he/she may have multiple colors. The die odor is tolerable, but noticeable.

Talk about cool. Used this to get my dogs Mohawk red for football season. Requires a little work and is easier if you let the hair dry completely before you put on. The dog is color blind so he has no idea but sure makes us all laugh and have fun with him around. Easy and very safe. Never hurt the dog and is skin safe.

Once my dog was dyed boy was she purple! The was deep yet it was bright. For weeks we had people stop because they could not believe how purple she was lol. I sent her to the groomers so I can't say much about doing it myself. The color didn't run that I could tell. I will buy more of this dye.

After reading conflicting reviews, I decided to try it anyway. This product was horrible. I used it on my standard poodle's Pom poms that need to be dyed black every so often. I followed the instructions and left the product in for 40 mins. Not only did most of it wash out, it wasn't even black. It was a dark blue. Then it really messed up my dog's hair and turned it 3 different colors. I wouldn't recommend this cheap coloring at all.

I purchased the brown dye, followed instructions. My dog's hair came out dark purple, very upset. Now I have to wait until her hair grows out and cut it to get rid of purple. Not sure why it is advertised as brown, IT IS NOT BORWN!!!
