I'm very disappointed with this purchase. I tried it the other morning while making pancakes. At first I thought my batter was to thick because I couldn't get it to squeeze out. Figuring I made the mistake I spent the next 20 minutes trying various thicknesses of batter each failing to provide a smooth consistent pour shown in the video. Ultimately I took the top off and poured it without the nozzle. (Purchased at a chain kitchen store not via amazon)

It's my first time using a batter dispenser, so I just followed the regular instruction on Bisquik's pancake mix box. The batter is too thick to squeeze out. I'll try a thinner batter next time.

I usually love OXO products, but this particular product was a major fail! I bought this specifically for dispensing crepe batter, which is on the thin side, and it failed miserably. Even a thin crepe batter wouldn't pass through the spout without exerting significant pressure on the bottle. Well, that didn't help, because the end of the bottle blew right off! I didn't give the product a second try.

I could not figure out how to use this thing. It does NOT come with instructions. I spilled my pancake batter all over my hardwood floors, my sink and counter. I was not happy. I finally figured out how to use it but it's not worth it. This was a waste of my money. I really feel bad inside that I bought this. It's that's horrible. I cannot believe that I thought I had an issue with pouring the proper pancake size and for that I deserve 1 star as well.

Should have listened to negative reviews. This thing has a leaky lid and prevent pressure from building inside to dispense the batter. This thing would not even dispense water. Major fail for an OXO product. I am not sure where all of the major 5 star psitive reviews come from, this product is defective and does not work as it should at all.

I own a ton of OXO products and this is by hands the worst one of all. I didn't have a problem with the thickness of the batter, I was able to fill and dispense batter for cupcakes and pancake batter . The big issue with this is that it is so hard to dispense. There is absolutely no way to let air into the container so every time you dispense batter the container just runs out of air in the inside of the bottle so it's squeezed to death. To get air back in the container so you can keep dispensing batter you have to unscrew the lid, let some air in, and then reclose it. That is a major pain, having to unscrew and crew the lid after every cupcake or 2 that gets dispensed. I still have this item at home but it has not been used, it's just too much of a pain to use and I would rather use a ice cream scoop to fill the tins.

I purchased this elsewhere, but verified it is the same product. It might work for a very thin batter, but for pancake batter, no chance. The silicone restrictor at the bottom is so effective one must really squeeze to force the batter out - and then the top pops off, because the poor design doesn't include a way to hold it in place - it just screws to the soft, squeezable plastic part. Without the top in place, one cannot squeeze batter out at all.

It is possible to remove the silicone restrictor, and perhaps I will try that next time. If that works better I will update my review. For now, I can't recommend this product. Usually OXO does a good job, but every once in awhile they have a miss, and it's often a head scratcher: printing numbers on a measuring cup with an ink that easily wears off is another example. This should never have escaped the prototype lab in its current form.

This is by far the worst product I have ever purchased from Amazon. I usually love OXO products, but I threw this away before I was even finished making breakfast. The pancake batter doesn't come out easily (regardless of how thin or thick it is) so you have to squeeze it really (REALLY!!) hard, which means your batter comes out in uneven globs and it's nearly impossible to end up with the shape/design you had intended.
