Oh my goodness I am in love with this! My husband loves Robin Hood and since this looks just like that, I ordered it for him as a surprise for our dog. It is super hard to find Robin Hood products, so I was estactic to find this. I wasn't sure how it would look since its pretty inexpensive. It is even cuter than I imagined! We love it! Our dog is a 30lb Australian Shepherd and it fits her perfectly! It is well made for the cost and looks very good. Highly recommended. We can't wait to use it next Halloween as part of our family costume.

I bought two costumes for my dogs and went by the measurements listed. My dogs are 19 and 20 inch chest. I ordered large for both. The costumes are HUGE!!! One week before Halloween, too late to return, disabled and can't go shopping in town, VERY UPSET!! I spent two hours cutting, sewing and remaking these costumes so they would fit in time for the photo op, parade and contest this weekend. No sewing machine so everything was done by hand and my fingers are sore! So very unhappy, disappointed and mad!!

Although the costume is adorable and fairly well made it's impossible to keep the bottom part of the costume on a dog. Not even long enough to take one picture. We have two daughters and our dogs are very used to being dressed up for "photo shoots." Unfortunately they could walk right out of the pants. They weren't trying to get out of the costume but with each step the bottoms are pulled further and further off of the dog. We tried the costume on our Lab, Aussie and English Springer Spaniel, who are all built a little differently from one another, and the outcome was the same. The head piece stayed on fine as well as the top but the bottoms need to be reworked. Next year we will be going back to the costumes that fit over the back and velcro underneath.

The costume is cute, however the size chart is WAY off. Our dachshund has a 21 inch chest, so we went with the large. It was huge, much larger than for a dog with a 20 inch chest. It really should be measured by neck size, since that's where it closes.

This costume was of nice quality. The only thing I had to add was some elastic under the chin to hold the hat on. Once Halloween is over, my dog can be an elf for our Christmas card photo. It was helpful to have my dog wear the costume for short periods prior to going out in it so he was comfortable with it.

maybe I read the sizing chart online, incorrectly. I think not.
The size chart online shows sizing measurements taken by chest and length of dog.
When I got the costume, the size chart ON THE PACKAGE says, "measurements are taken as illustrated".
The illustration shows the measurement was taken from the HEIGHT of the dog., NOT the chest and length of back.
Size for measuring was from the back/top of shoulder to the paw.
Needless to say, I have the wrong size. And have now ordered a size smaller.
