I purchased this as I am trying to be a better singer. It has helped me to understand how important simple things like breathing and posture are. I always sounded kind of weak and I think the lessons and the exercises are helping there.

Also all the ear training things are helping me sing on pitch/in key alot better. I watched their demo video and what sold me was that the software actually listens to me sing and shows when I am goofing-up. I was a doubter but it works great!

I feel sorry for the person who couldn't install the software. I got on my Mac (laptop) and the PC in the family room without any problems. Oh well, everyone's different.

The songs are pretty old-school, but they are varied so I can practice a few different styles plus there's some backing tracks. I got some karaoke software to inject newer tunes into my singing practice too.

11/27 update
I just wanted to add that now that I'm getting into the breathing exercises more, it helps me sustain notes and kind of feels like a yoga session (good for overall health). BTW, my dad suggested this to me (he did a review too) so "thanks Dad". :^)

This software really got me singing better. I never realized how much of singing requires a lot of physical control. I particularly like how the software listened to my singing and showed visually where I was singing notes flat. Way better than the "how to sing" CDs and DVDs I was using that would show you a lesson, but without a way to know if you were REALLY singing things right. I thought about taking lessons from a teacher, but at around $40 a lesson I figured I would try this first, and it ended-up working well.

BTW I was really surprised that there was a 1 star review for this. I got it and am really happy with it.
It sounds like maybe the other person was running Windows 8, which can be problematic as everyone knows.
I have running on my Windows system and it works like a champ.

Software installed on my windows 7 Sony vain tablet without issues. The software runs successfully but be forewarned this install is for cd only. The company did provide a url for me to install but they were very clear they will not provide a second time so I'm out of luck if my machine has to be re imaged unless I buy a dvd rom. For what I've used, the product seems good. Notice the "for dummies" version is not the exactly the same. This is like an extended version of it. More content.

It does not work properly on my daughter's Windows 10 laptop. There's a large red X in the upper left corner and none of the audio files will play. They claim this is either a Quicktime issue or a corrupted install file. I have downloaded it several times along with quicktime. I disabled everything. I've installed, uninstalled, restarted, etc. so many times, I lost count. I kept trying and trying things, all the while, waiting multiple days for response from their tech support to make sure I'm doing this or disabled that during install.

Unfortunately, now I'm past the return period with Amazon and I'm stuck with software that doesn't work.

Amazing program! It is worth calling their customer support if needed to install the program. The download didn't work for me, possibly due to my connection speed. But the disc is all you need to download and start exceptional, high quality, interactive singing lessons. You don't need a manual--it is all on the disc. Well worth the price!

Our entire family loves this program. The only way it could be better is if it was set up for multiple users to have different accounts that tracked their progress. Otherwise it is perfect for the person looking for some beginner vocal instruction.

Just installed on my computer, and ran through the first few lessons. Its a nice program.

Using my laptop's microphone worked, but an external mic would probably work a little better. Also, using headphones does help.

I'm pretty sure this is the same product as "Singing for Dummies" which is $30 cheaper. Read the descriptions, a lot of the info is the exact same (word for word).
