My daughter just turned two and like clockwork, went from giving her pediatrician high-fives each visit to melting down in terror upon entering the office. We ordered this doctor kit to help make going to the doctor not so scary, and she has been playing with it so much since it arrived! Her stuffed animals are all getting lots of shots.
I love the quality if the kit, the lack of plastic, and the look of the bag.

I love that this is made of wood instead of plastic, one of the only wooden doctor kits I could find, and my 3-year-old loves it.

The biggest drawback is that the stethoscope pieces won't stay in his ears, and that is the part he wants to play with the most. If the stethoscope functioned properly this would be a 5-star review no questions. But it makes me really sad to see him struggling to hold it to his ears while he tries to "listen" to our heartbeats. Bummer.

We bought this set as an alternative to cheap plastic doctor kits. This is a great little doctor set complete with a blood pressure cuff, syringe, flashlight, reflex hammer, thermometer, and stethoscope. The fabric bag is nicely made and carries everything for storage. The stethoscope is the only thing lacking in this set, the ear pieces are attached to a kind of wired rope and it gets bent easily making it hard to use. We solved this by buying a disposable stethoscope here on Amazon, because, year we're that serious about dress up in this house.

I completely agree with the review from Caroline's Mama so I'll keep this short.. I too wish the flashlight was replaced with something else, or perhaps made smaller to look more like a light a doctor might really use, rather than a household flashlight, but it's ok- our son knew what that, and all of the other things were for.

I wish the bag was a bit bigger so we could add more things we've gotten separately, but that's not the fault of the manufacturer. The bag fits what comes with the kit.

Love the blood pressure cuff. It doesn't inflate of course, but the concept is well executed.

If you're looking for a set your child can play doctor with, pick another one. I loved the idea of a wooden set, but the stethoscope is not even usable and the blood pressure cuff leaves a lot to be desired. The flash light does not actually resemble a doctor's light and the reflex hammer - being wooden with sharp corners - tends to do more harm than good. Overall really disappointed with this set. I was hoping for much better quality when paying more for a wooden set.

I have wanted to get my daughter (not quite 3 years old) a doctor kit but was less than impressed with the flimsy (and potentially toxic) plastic versions on the market. I saw this set online and hesitated to purchase, given the 1 negative review it received. I decided to go ahead and purchase it anyway and I am SO glad I did! My daughter absolutely LOVES it! She had no trouble figuring out what each piece is used for, with no help from me. She is able to use the blood pressure cuff with no problem and I have gotten at least 100 "shots" in the 2 weeks she has had it. =) My only "con" for this set is that the ear pieces for the stethoscope don't always stay in my daughter's ears (I think her ears are too small, because they fit just fine in my own ears). Other than that, this is a great set! And I'm glad it's kid- and eco-friendly. I definitely recommend it.

I like that it's wooden. My child enjoys playing with it, taking my temperature, checking my reflexes, and giving me shots. However, the stethoscope string is too short so every time he puts them in his ears and tries to listen to my heart beat, they come out of his ears. Also the flashlight is weird and unnecessary, would have preferred something else.

Children love to play "Doctor". I got this set for 2 yr old and voila, they know exactly what and how to do each thing, if they have experienced similar at their own doctor. It proves that they are definitely paying attention when they go to the doctor. (Obviously as much as a 2-3 year child can) The toys are decent, wood and plastic as needed--with "non toxic" paints--which I assume means lead free. It will last for a long long time if taken care of.

What I DONT LIKE:

1- Stethoscope- is too short---I suppose it could be made longer with some tubing.
2- The flashlight is a little strange, wasn't sure what to do with it.
3- Bag is a bit small

WHAT I LIKE:

1- WOOD--great quality
2- Well thought out (except flashlight and small stethoscope)
3- Teaches children organization, communication, and observation skills. Its very cute and fun to watch these skills develop. My granddaughter used to play teacher and when 3 had the impersonation of her teachers lip smacking down cold. (they are watching closely). SHe didn't do it to be funny, but obviously she thought it was something teachers did.

Considering that its for 2-3 year old children, its excellent. I deducted stars for the flashlight, bag is a bit small, and sethoscope is too small too. Is really cute to see them and encourage them to use on stuffed animals.

Otherwise, its a great toy regardless, and a winner. If those items were addressed it would be outstanding.
