So far so good, has lasted thru one full semester and still in tact, unlike all other binders so far... If it lasts thru the school year I will be back to update you. It also is easy to open without any finger pinching. The 4 pockets are great for all the extras. I would recommend.

I inch binder 'Ultra' duty: It can't be that difficult to make binders that hold up to a little wear but out of the package this has bubbles on the outside, making it look cheaply made. The bubbles look like an incorrectly applied drawer liner - the kind that make you crazy until you get it straightened out. The inside is much worse. On the back side of the green binder, I have a whole column of rumples in the plastic and just big air pockets on the other side..

Then the `pockets' on the inside just look like one step above wax paper. The actual binder bends easily. When it bends, you can hear plasticy sounds.

The ring parts seem stable enough. It has one pull hinge on the bottom to open. This was an advantage but it is on some binders and not all. This 1 piece hinge opening was in the flimsiest 1 inch binder and the 1 ½ inch binder that had the outside viewing pocket on it. The ring parts are shaped so that it is easier to keep a lot of pages flat when it is opened, which is an advantage.

mediocre at best - based on the description of "Ultra Duty" and "Extra Durable" I though it would be well made. It is not. The metal rings are fairly well made (no gaps), but not very well attached to the binder itself, and the covers are really quite cheap feeling. The thin plastic sheeting was bubbling away from the cardboard on the cover at arrival. You can get better binders for less at any big box stationary.

First this binder has a better open-shut mechanism than other binders. It has a big tab, visible when opened, that allows it to be opened in one fluid motion with very minimal effort. Much improved over all other binders I've used.

Second this binder has higher pockets and the pockets are see-through. Higher pockets means the stuff in them doesn't fall out constantly. See through is a good idea too.

I gave this binder as a gift, but the receiver and I both agreed that it is a great binder. It is durable, can be laid out flat or folded back flat. There are pockets on both covers and these pockets are clear so you can see everything you have in them. It is easy to open the rings and load it with paper and the color was different from anything in the local office supply stores.

I like to use binders like this to store recipes I have printed out and placed in plastic sleeves. That means the binder sits on the shelf most of the time except when I take it down to pull out a recipe. For that level of use, this binder is just fine. I have no idea how well it would hold up if you were carrying it around in your backpack or briefcase on a regular basis.

The materials the binder is made from are lightweight and therefore appear to be flimsy, but the promotional material says the polypropylene cover is nearly impossible to tear. So only time will tell. Right now I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt. It does seem a bit overpriced for what you're getting, but if it turns out to be as durable as they claim, maybe it's worth it. If you're concerned about looks, though, you might want to choose a different kind. Right out of the box, this one had a lot of bubbling on the outside. It has no bearing on function, but it's not very pretty.

These binder are HORRIBLE!! I actually have old blue Wilson Jones binders I was hoping to replace. I guess they were made much better years ago. These are CRAP! Even though there was no damage to actual box they were shipped in, the binders were all bent/crushed/torn. The plastic is flimsy and bubbles. Don't just take my word for it.. check the pictures for yourself. DO NOT BUY!

I generally don't like binders. I'm left handed and the big rings bother me when I'm writing. In the age of typing, I now only use binders to put hold stuff that's already been typed or handwritten. This binder fulfilled everything I could've asked from it and more.

It's small but can hold a lot of paper. The color is nice and won't attract dirt like a white binder. Overall there's no real way you can go wrong with an excellent product like this. The rings don't look like they're going to wear out anytime soon. It looks like this binder and I will be in it together for the long haul. A partnership I'm ready to endure.
