For what you pay, this stuff works surprisingly well. I used it in modding a proprietary header to include an S-Video signal, which is notorious for signal bleeding due to improper shielding. A little bit of this stuff and it completely solved the problem. I removed one star because the adhesive is a little iffy (don't apply too much wear when applying it to purely metal surfaces, enough friction will cause this stuff to slide off) and because it is really difficult to find out where the tape left off on this material but these are both minor issues.

This tape is the correct type to wrap your wiring harnesses. I detest the corrugated plastic looms and using plain electrical tape is too messy when it is removed. This stuff stretches out to cover taps and the adhesive sticks well to itself. Only time will tell how it lasts but for the moment it looks great.

This is not correct Automotive wire harness tape as it has adhesive on it which will turn your wires slimy over time. Correct wire harness tape is vinyl but does not have an adhesive backing , the vinyl stretches and stick to itself without the glue. I do not recommend this product for auto wire harness work.

The roll they sent me was not UL-rated tape. It was not rated for use with electrical components (e.g. insulation). It was not "electrical tape," and it seemed flimsier than real electrical tape.

On the other hand, because it is not very sticky and can be easily torn into lengths by hand, I've been able to put it to good use as a removable tape on non-paper surfaces.

Update: I think that they updated the product description on Amazon so it's clearer that it is wire harness tape and not electrical tape, so I'm bumping it up a star.

I bought these and I have no idea what they were originally intended to do.

Maybe you're a freak like me and have purposes similar to mine though. Then these are perfect.

Computer lights! They're everywhere. Turn on your monitor. Notice that light in the bottom corner? I sure do. Turn on your speaker. Notice that power light suddenly on? I sure do.

In what world did they decide having a LED light constantly shining in your eyes was the best way to show something was on, when it comes to computers?

This tape is perfect for covering those up. It's not too big. It's not too small. It sticks well, but can be peeled off without leaving marks. Use one layer if you want to dim the light. Apply a second layer if you want to block it all out. I've applied these to my monitor, my speakers, and my desktop tower.

I I make hand stamped jewelry for a living. To be able to stamp in a perfectly straight line, I have to use tape. You can't use just any tape though. it has to be raised a bit so the stamp with catch on it.
In the the past I've purchased tape that's made especially for stamping. It worked great, but it's so expensive. After giving this tape a try, I'll never go back to the stamping tape.

I'm not sure why more places don't carry this. Standard electrical tape is just so messy. I'm glad I found it here. I had a wire harness box under the hood of my car that had disintegrated. This tape brought the wires back together nicely. It is just like the factory now, and I don't have to worry about the glue melting under the hood.

This electrical tape is fantastic. The adhesive is very heat resistant unlike other brands of electrical tape ive used. This is used under the hood of my jeep where it can easily get to around 170-200 ambient temp and the adhesive has held up flawlessly. It is rather attractive in my opinion and very durable. I highly recommend trying this product out if youve been unsatisfied with standard electrical tape.
