These curtains are GREAT. First off they arrived within just about 24 hours of placing the order. I ordered them in 108" length and cardinal red color. The curtains come with two hold back ties. I was worried about the color and the physical weight of the curtains - both were of no concern upon receipt. The Cardinal Red matched perfectly to the red that I wanted. It's a bright red, Closer to a stop sign/fire engine red but without the orangy base/orangy tinge to it (i.e. no orangy tones at all in the color). I would say it's closer to a poinsetta red color. The color is on both sides of the curtain (i.e. there is no white/cream liner - so when you are outside looking in, you will see the color of the curtains - which is nice for a change of pace). The weight of curtains also was not an issue as they do not weigh much - maybe 5lbs. You do not need to re-enforce your (standard) curtain rod in any way, assuming nothing (children or pets) pulls on the rod or curtains. Additionally, the length of my curtains, 108" meant they came with grommets at the top and the extra bonus, I don't need much room on the sides of the window, for the curtain rod, as the curtains do not take up a lot of room on the sides (when pushed to show the window panes- the curtain scrunches to ~2"). These curtains are also machine washable - another plus. I did have to do some altering to the length, not because of the curtains, but because I didn't want to rehang my curtain rod. This was very easy to accomplish by just using iron on hem tape. The curtains look fabulous and I would highly recommend getting these. As for the price, it's super, you end up with TWO curtain panels and TWO hold back/ties.

They look more ivory in the seller pic, but not too far off. It is really a beautiful beige. I'm attaching an image to show actual color. The curtains were super thick fabric and soft, NOT shiny at all! The fabric didnt snag at all from my jagged fingernail I was neglecting. It has the look and drape of a lined dapery but only one fabric layer. I felt like I was taking a chance on these, but when I opened the package, I was so excited and impressed at the quality. The wet towel for 20min in dryer worked well to remove most of the fold lines. The belt loops on the back will fit a good sized rod. The curtains do a great job of blocking the neighbor's side light, which shines directly at our window, as well as daylight. I doubt they would provide total pitch black darkness even if we had them on every window with wrap-around rods, but they certainly do keep it dark enough for our needs. And they hang beautifully! It was easy to create a similar look as shown. I highly recommend these! Side note: My husband is always skeptical of bargain decor, so when I told him to come see them after I hung them, he asked how much they cost. When I answered $100 for all 4, he said, "return them." But I told him to come see them, and he saw them and immediately said, "wow these are nice." He felt them and said he wanted sheets that felt like that! If they passed his test, they'll pass anyone's!

First, let me say, I like the quality of the product and plan to keep it. It is nice curtains as everyone else has said (by the way, it feels like thick linen). Normally I would rate it higher. HOWEVER, I dinged this to 2 stars as a cautionary note for other buyers when choosing colors because I was expecting complete blackout curtains at 99% or more of the DIRECT light AS THE DESCRIPTION STATED. I bought the Beige color. Instead, I wish I read one of the other reviewers first, who mentioned that lighter colors don't block the light as effectively and it's the darker colors that work better (although I haven't verified the darker color claims, I assume it's right as his/her review was accurate about the lighter beige). It does block effectively where I do have a wood blinds in addition to the curtains. Having said that, then the seller should REVISE the description to make their claims more accurate OR rather the product including the light beige set should do as described (the latter being the preferable) For lighter color curtains they should make it thicker or add a layer to improve the light blockage. I would guesstimate it at around 70% blocked direct light.

I work nights and sleep during the day. We recently bought a house, and the master bedroom has 2 windows in it that even with the blinds closed allowed large amounts of light into the room. During daytime hours, I never needed to turn on a light to be able to see clearly inside my bedroom. That is great for many rooms of the house, but not the room that I am attempting to sleep in. Since I like a really dark room for sleeping, I quickly decided that I would need some curtains to block out light.

I decided to purchase these Blackout curtains for my bedroom based on the many positive reviews. I got the curtains in black since that would block the most amount of light, and matched the bedroom furniture and area rug I had. I put these curtains up after receiving them and can report that they block out almost all light. The only light I can see after getting these curtains up and in place is a small amount that spills from the sides through the small gap between curtain and wall. These are the best solution I have found for minimizing the light coming through windows. I have an idea in my head for getting a few magnets and sewing them into the curtains to keep them pressed against the wall to block even more light, but that is not entirely necessary as they do fine in their current configuration. They let just enough light spill in the sides so that I don't have to grab a flashlight in order to see to make it to the bathroom.

These curtains have a very soft and smooth feel to them and look excellent hanging in my bedroom. They have appropriate amount of weight to them, so they don't sway or blow from the ceiling fan, central air blowing, or passing of people as they walk by. Many other curtains are of a light material that seems to be affected by these kinds of air movement.Read more ›
