These little labels work pretty well, and do the job I needed them to do. I've been using them for the last couple of months to help organize storage in our new home.

The reason I am not giving a full five stars is mostly poor management of my expectations.

The description said they were re-positionable. Well, technically they are, but in order to move them I had to pick and scrape at the edges, leaving them marred. I've used other re-positionable products, both label stickers and vinyl decals. Both move much easier than these stickers, and these are definitely stickers.

Also, I had expected an easy wipe-able chalkboard-like experience, but to change the writing of the marker that comes with it, you need to use a glass cleaner with vinegar or ammonia in it. It works, but just not as easily as I had expected.

The marker works well, no complaints there.

If the description had been a little more forthcoming, I probably would still have bought them, AND given a full 5 stars. As it is, I'll give 4, and let you know I'm going to go order some more to finish the job.

I can recommend these stickers to anyone who won't be moving chalkboard label much, and who doesn't mind applying a little spritz of window cleaner (on a paper towel) in order to achieve a super easy and thorough cleanup.

I originally bought these to use on the crystal jelly jars that I've found indispensable in conjunction with my FoodSaver appliance. For that purpose, I'd planned to affix them semi-permanently to each jar, erasing and re-labeling as the contents were changed. For that purpose, this set is perfect for many reasons, but I'm also using them for many other things, too, and have actually bought several sets in various sizes and shapes.

For my jelly jars, which I'm using more as reusable food storage containers for leftovers and also in food prep (to allow for day-before prep for those recipes with multiple fresh chopped ingredients), I like that the chalk ink is waterproof but can easily be erased with an ammonia-based cleaner (such as Windex). This leaves me without worries when I move several jars from the freezer to the fridge for defrosting. I've actually lost a dissolvable Ball label that way before, when the jar sweated. Further, I'm not wasting labels or spending time scrubbing them off of containers when I use them to keep track of all the stuff I've chopped ahead for use the following day. I also like that the labels are pretty well stuck onto the jars (I haven't run any through the dishwasher yet, but another reviewer here has mentioned that the labels stayed put in that situation).

The chalk marker is of high quality, and I have no difficulty getting the ink flow started or with skipping while writing. The only suggestion I have is that if you plan to use these smallish labels a lot, you might be interested in the Extra Fine Tip Marker that comes in this set, ...Read more ›

I was looking on amazon for chalkboard stickers and of course a chalkboard marker.
This was the best deal.
You get the stickers and the marker.
At first, I was worried that either both or one of the items would be subpar because of the value, but that was not the case.
The stickers and marker work really well! :)

I thought I would give these a try for my yearly round of jam making. The labels seem durable enough and the ink dries to the touch. I think the concept of reusable labels is really good. The problem I am having is that the "fine" tip marker is not what I would call fine. It is described as 1mm but the line is wider than that. It is very difficult to write the contents legibly on the small label where a fine line writing tool is essential (as anyone who cans knows). The wide marker tip limits you to very few words. What this set should have is the extra fine marker. So I went to look for one and found that the Zig extra fine chalk marker is only available in a two pack with the not-really-fine marker that I already have and don't like. Gee, can't a person just buy the extra fine chalkboard marker? Other reviewers recommend sticking to the Zig brand made for these labels. There is a Ziggyboard "professional" pack that comes with the extra fine marker and I recommend starting with that one instead. I hope the manufacturer will rethink the idea of putting this marker in packs with small labels.

I used these to label my spices that I had put in canning jars. They stick wonderfully, don't peel or wear off with washing and heavy use. I STRONGLY recommend using ziggyboard chalk markers with these. Any other chalk markers smudge and end up looking awful. Ziggyboard markers don't smudge at all even with water. Just use windex or other cleaner to wipe it off.
These canning labels were exactly what I was looking for. I bought three different brands, ziggyboard was the best. A lot of the other ones have a porous surface that it is hard to write on, but these are smooth and beautiful
