The description for this item is very misleading! It refers to the item as plural: "dumbbellS" yet I received only 1! I'd have had no problem ordering two if it was stated as being sold individually, however, unfortunately that was not the base & not I have to wait 2-4 weeks for Amazon to replenish their stock! This is not what I expect from Amazon, very disappointing.

Well, it is dumb and it doesn't really ring any bells... ;-) (I'm a humor genius!)
But, it weighs 15 pounds and does what it's supposed to. I bought two, each on separate occasions, to cut down on the shipping weight. They were wrapped up in paper and then just thrown in the shipping boxes. The boxes were battered, but they did arrive ok. I have no complaints.

I bought them for use in a strength / aerobics conditioning program where I would not need to change weights, and I did not want the hassle of constantly re-tightening the weights on a bar. The no slip neoprene coating is ideal when you're trying to keep a grip with tired, sweaty hands. I don't need to hold these in a tightly clenched grip like I did conventional dumbbells. The weight rating is accurate. I bought 4 pound dumbbells. I then weighed each on a postal scale, and both were within 2 ounces of the rated weight. These were exactly what I was shopping for and ideal for the exercise I am using them for.

i use this daily just to keep my arms moving during this cold winter. i did not need more weight than 5 pounds and it is very comfortable to hold and use. it does seem a little pricey but it does meet my needs and expectations.

I really like the feel of this dumbbell: The textured surface doesn't feel like it's going to slip out of your hand as you perspire. I also like the flattened areas on the ends; they keep the dumbbell from rolling off the table where I keep it. A nice feel in the hand, and a nice addition to my workout.

Product arrived on time, exactly as pictured, and I'm very pleased.

The pair of 10 pound weights that I ordered were not the same. The handle on one was significantly thicker and I'm pretty sure it was heavier as well. In addition, it was cheaply made: 10 pound number was smudged on 1 weight and there were a couple of holes where the neoprene was finished. I would not recommend these weights.
