Received my Total Gym in brand-new condition-no broken parts, no dents, no scratches. fresh off the manufacturer. Well-packaged. No marks or tearing on the box. Box was tied with flat plastic ropes so courier could easily carry it. Courier guy was kind enough to carry the box all the way inside my living room. Total Gym in box weighed about 83 lbs. The seller did a great job packaging it. 10000 stars to you!

Unboxing the Total Gym was easy. Just cut through the packing tape along the edges of the box, then lift the cardboard lid. Total Gym was folded and fully assembled inside the box. To get Total Gym (TG) out of the box, no need to lift it. Just cut along all four corners of the box and the box will collapse flat. Simply move TG off the now flat box. Make sure to remove all the cushioning, padding, and foam you find. Underneath the glideboard are two padded cardboards. Make sure to remove them. Did I say the TOTAL GYM came FULL ASSEMBLED? Yes it is fully assembled!

Not sure why some users are having a hard time folding and unfolding the TG. I am only 5ft 1in, and weight 137 lbs. I am a very tiny man but I don't it difficult to fold and unfold the TG. The TG isn't even heavy if you lift it folded. First few tries, yet it can be a bit tricky but once you know the steps, it'll be quick. I can unfold mine in 2 minutes, and fold it back in 2 minutes, with minimum effort. The trick is to do SLOWLY and be aware of your fingers as you move it around the underside of the TG.

The TG comes with all the accessories you need:
1) short pins.

Things I like about this product:

Construction: solid, well-thought out design . . . that's probably why the Total Gym has been around for years. It is easy to fold and unfold, stores unobtrusively against the wall in my living room, and it is quick and easy to attach accessories and reconfigure the gym as I go through my workout.

Price/accessories: I can perform a variety of exercises on this gym, and the cost is half of the latest Total Gym model. It comes with leg pulley accessory kit, multi-function attachments, dip bars, squat stand, exercise flip chart, along with a 50 minute exercise DVD and nutrition guide booklet.

I have only had this thing for a couple weeks so I can't offer any amazing before-and-after-testimony, but so far so good. I have been able to work a wide range of muscles (arms, back, abs, legs) and I am definitely feeling the burn.

Also a nod to VMInnovations -- my boyfriend bought this product for me through Amazon, which was shipped and sold by VMInnovations. At the time of purchase, shipping was free and very prompt.

This is a wonderful machine and I did not have to pay for shipping. I ordered it late Thursday night and it arrived Monday morning. In looking at the prior reviews I expected to receive it with broken rollers but mine was fine. I'm not very athletic so this works great for me as a beginner and there is a large variety of exercises that you can do. The movement of the rollers is very smooth and it's a very sturdy machine for the price. I do agree that if you have long hair (or even mid-length) you need to pull up in a pony tail to avoid it getting caught when you are doing the exercises laying down. I have mine in a spare bedroom and just leave it out, I do think it might be a little bit of a hassle to have to keep putting it away. I would recommend this product and am happy with the purchase.

I had a Total Gym 2000, which I bought in about 13 years ago (for maybe $250). The roller bearings were shot so I looked for a new one and was pretty shocked when I saw that same model for $600 on the Total Gym website, and the rest of the models were all over $1,000. This one isn't even sold on their website, which makes no sense at all.

I'm glad I found this model - good price (plus free shipping on a 75lb box!) and it's a solid machine. More "tubular" frame than my old one and generally a better, smoother operating design. Best value by far.

Easy to use. Great workout. I have only been using it a few weeks and am still working on adding and using additional exercises. I have a bad back (cervical fusion) and cannot do certain exercises but there are plenty of others that target the same muscles.

I bought a Total Gym in the '90's and it was great. Bench is worn and the foam handles are old so I thought, heck I'll get a new one. BIG mistake. The new ones are not made near the quality of the old one. Cheap welding. I have only had mine a few days. The bench would come off the frame now and again. Then I noticed the problem. The frame is welded in the middle. Well, on one side. Makes for a very bad structure. Sending it back. There is nothing wrong with the vendor who sold it to me. It is Total Gym. So sad they went so cheap now.
