We tried all the expensive brands in the beginning but they all upset my daughters tummy. All the other mommy's said to try this and this is what ended up being the winner. Plus if you read the ingredients, it's the only formula that doesn't have some form of sugar as the first or second ingredient. Gerber knows!

My daughter was started on this at the hospital and I could not be happier they chose this brand. Not only is the 1st ingredient NOT corn syrup like the other major brands but she has drank it since day 1 without problem. No problem with weight gain. She was a small full term baby at under 6lbs and has doubled her weight in under 4 months on this.

iWhen I went back to work after having my baby I tried to continue breastfeeding/pumping but it just wasn't working out. My job just wasn't very conducive to breastfeeding mom and it was causing a lot of unnecessary stress. Much to my chagrin I decided that making the switch to formula was the best option for my sanity. We tried Enfamil first since I had a lot of samples from them and she HATED it. She spit it out and started coughing like I made tried to feed her poison, yikes! Next we tried the Similac samples, she drank a little bit but would turn her head after a could second and refuse to eat anymore. Finally, I went to store and got a small can of Gerber good start and Ta-DA! She loved it. What a huge relief.
I also like that the first ingredient is a whey product instead of fructose or something else like in the other formulas. Since starting the formula she's had very little gas or stomach upset(in the beginning I added a couple drops of simethicone to prevent bubbles). She's never spit up (never really did while BF either). Last but not least, her thrush that we has been trying to get rid of for a month finally was gone within a week of switching.

Cheapest way to buy formula. I have twins so having a bulk amount is awesome as well. Make sure you check to see if there is a coupon you clip when checking out. Usually $10. Ships fast as well. I have bought this package 5 times already and not had a single issue. No they are not expired when you get them as some have said. They are brand new from Gerber in Gerber packaging and even a gerber box they are shipped in.

Both children have done well with it from the start and with its first ingredient whey protein concentrate and not corn syrup solids like other brands it kept thier weight appropriate and my first second yet to do so transitioned well to cows milk. My baby boy was born premature so my milk came in too little too late! They started him on similac at the hospital and he was miserable!!! When we took him home what was supposed to be joy became pity! Every time we fed him he cried for 30 minutes! His lips were purple and his poop was dark (dark green/black) come to find out he was being bombarded with iron from the similac advance! ... Advanced pain if you ask me! Well long story short we could take it anymore! He looked weird and unhappy so we told our pediatrician we were gonna change it! Bottom line! And she gave us emfamil... And we demanded gerber good start! Since i had done my research! And giving him emfamil would be just like similac! Different name same stuff! basically same difference! So we changed him to good start .... First day was horrible he cried a lot because he was getting all that similac junk out of his system and second day VOILA!!!! He was a different baby! Right lip coloration, and golden poop! Exactly like my friends baby who was being breast fed! So I say to you parents! Fight for your babys well being and comfort! Their happiness is yours! And did I mention I get 5 hrs of sleep now instead of 3?! And hes only 1 month and a half?! After 5 hours we wake him and he eats 5oz. Who would have thought this was my fragile preemie?! Anyways ... Please consider this formula! Its the best!

The only formula my former breastfed baby could tolerate. My only issue is you have to make sure you shake it really well to make sure no clumps form. I wish they had more options like other brands, like the travel sizes in case of emergency.
