Not a silver bullet but it helps. My 3 year-old rescue has had significant anxiety issues since we got her 2 years ago. While 2 years of training has helped a lot to calm her down, she still gets crazy aggressive around anything new that scares her, including other dogs, people, cars, wildlife. I started her on this a few months ago and really wasn't sure it was doing anything until I took her off it a few weeks ago. After a week I noticed a change for the worse. Started her back on it and noticed a change for the better after a week back on it. As I said, it's not a miracle fix but I definitely see the anxiety down a notch or 2 and that helps enough to get her attention and make her listen to commands that she knows. I would recommend trying it if you have issues like this but you do have to give it time. I do wish it were easier to administer. She won't eat the tablets so I have to crush them up and put them in her food.

My 14 year old dog started to have anxiety attacks and at times couldn't be calmed down. Someone recommended Calm Shen and it made a world of a difference. He still worries but at a normal level. I keep him on it constantly, and every once in a while when I forget to give it to him feel like I notice a difference. Recently, I even took him on a trans-Atlantic flight and he made it through without being stressed.

My Beagle had major separation anxiety and was destructive when left alone. After being on calm shen daily for a couple of years now- he has no issues. I can leave for a few hours and not worry about him- he just snoozes. I do realize a difference in his behavior if I skip a dosage for a couple of days. I'm determined to keep him on this.

Our Dog loves these pills - no need to hide in food - that in itself is a plus. He has been on them for about a month, we do not see a change in him yet??? I am only hoping by the end of this bottle we some improvement.

With thyroid issues, my Mini Schnauzer had changed colors along both side of his abdominal area, from salt and pepper to large patches of black hair. As of this review, his hair has not totally returned to its original color, but has improved significantly.
