When I first received this item I was impressed, however after the second time the button got stuck to the on position. This thing lasted all of 5 minutes. Now I get to see how good the customer service is. I definitely recommend you look elsewhere.

***Update***

After posting this review I was immediately contacted by DB Tech customer service, they quickly reacted and offered to UPS a new product ASAP. The speed and focus of their customer service was spot on. It's rare these days that there is any customer service, let alone ones that offer to do the right thing. I have not had a chance to use the new steamer, but the customer service can at least instill confidence that they will take care of the issue. Also one tip, don't search the web if you need to reach them, email them with the address off the box.

***Update 2***

I've now been using the replacement for a couple weeks and would say that this is a good steamer. It doesn't have the largest reservoir, but it works really well. I'm hoping this unit lasts and time will tell, but I am satisfied with my purchase at this point.

My wife has a nice boiled wool jacket that had been in the closet long enough that it was getting a bit musty, with little "pills" on the surface that needed to be removed. She was going to send it to be dry cleaned, but instead, she decided to try the garment steamer. Using the wool brush attachment, she was very pleased with the results, as it easily removed the pills and the wrinkles, refreshed the smell, and brightened the colors. Afterward she hung the jacket up to dry completely, although the dampness was barely noticeable.

Next she used the creaser attachment on a pair of cotton pants. It took a little practice, but the creaser worked pretty well to sharpen the creases. By trial and error, she decided that pants need to be laid out on an ironing board. You could use any flat surface, but it leaves the area damp from condensed steam.

For the last test, she has a silky shirt with a lot of metallic bling-bling on it, so it can't be ironed. She used the steamer with the upholstery attachment. The steamer removed the wrinkles okay, but again, she learned that it's better to stretch the fabric taut on an ironing board.

She did the three tests using two reservoirs of water (total: 200ml). Overall, we were both pleased with the results. The steamer does work well, doing what it claims to do. We only had three minor negative comments:

1. The steamer gets very hot. It could use a stand or prop to keep the steamer end off of whatever you're resting it on. On an ironing board, this wouldn't be an issue, however.
2. The ready light did not always work consistently. It's supposed to come on when the steamer is plugged in, then go off when the steamer is ready (about two minutes).

When I was in college I worked in a retail clothing store--2 of them actually. There is a reason that, whenever the new clothes came in, we steamed them all rather than ironing.

First, regardless of the material--from fine silks to cotton--steaming is more gentle. There will be no burns.

It is also more convenient. Throw away the ironing board; you can steam them when they are hanging. This works better. Why? Think about trying to iron a collar or pleats or ruffles--you are not ironing them as they fall so you often wind up having to redo your work. With a garment steamer, you simply steam it as it hangs naturally so the results are always better in my opinion.

This works just as well as the commercial unit I used to use. This one, however, is built better to do far more. It also comes with an upholstery brush. Not only does this brush remove pet hair. it also helps sanitize furniture and mattresses via the hot steam.

i have taken this on trips in order to steam and sanitize hotel beds because it's travel size and fits in a suitcase easily. This also makes it perfect for all the wrinkles in my clothes from being crammed in my luggage. So it performs double duty.

Unlike some steamers where you have to pump the steamer, this one allows for continuous steam which makes it a far easier model to work with.

Comes with two brushes as well; upholstery and wool brush, also includes a travel bag.

We keep this in the laundry room; haven't touched the iron in quite some time!

Product provided by DBTech. My reviews are my own unbiased opinions.

Did not work at all. Produces no steam.

I bought one of these steamers last year when the product was still manufactured by DBTech, and it worked great. In fact I was so impressed, I decided to buy one as a gift for my friend.

I searched through my Amazon purchase history, and the link to the DBTech steamer linked me to this Jumbl steamer instead. The Jumbl steamer looks exactly the same as the DBTech steamer with the exception of the product logo, so I went ahead and purchased it.

When the steamer arrived, I was eager to demonstrate it for my friend. I filled the reservoir with water, plugged it in, waited for the light to turn off, and then pushed the button. I heard the motor running, but the machine produced no steam. I held the button for 15 seconds or so, and still no luck. For comparison, the DBTech steamer produced steam instantly, as soon as you pushed the button.

I have a feeling the positive reviews are a legacy from the old steamer made by DBTech. The new steamer made by Jumbl is a scam. It's almost as Jumbl took all of DBTech's defective units, boxed them up, and sold them as new. This has to be some form of bait and switch. Buyer beware!
