I really wanted to like these green apple kitchen towels. They're very attractive and Calphalon brand, and I particularly liked the green. They were absorbent too. BUT, after the first wash they absolutely fell apart. The seams gave way and I washed them per manufacturer's instructions! They were ruined after 1 gentle wash.

Thankfully the store took them back, no problem. For $7 a towel you expect better!

I purchased a bunch of the Calphalon towels and before I opened all of them I tried washing three. They all fell apart and the flat towel has to be ironed!!?? to look good again. The colors are gorgeous but the product is terrible.

I love these towels. Best towel I've ever had. Received one with a set of Calphalon cooking tools and fell in love with it. Decided I wanted to purchase more. Found them at a great price on Amazon. At $8 each, they are well worth it. I would probably pay full price of $15 for this towel - not for any other towel. However, Amazon and Bed, Bath and Beyond have them for a good price, so don't pay full price.
I'm very picky about dish towels - don't like the ones that soak up water quickly and can only dry a few dishes, hate cheap ones that don't last long, hate it when they are full of lint that gets all over dishes. These towels don't do any of these things. They are very thick and porous and you can dry lots of dishes before they get wet; no lint; and they seem to last a long time. The ridges seem to be a secret to this style of towel. I've seen other Calphalon towels that don't have the ridges, and they aren't rated as highly. I would highly recommend these towels; and they come in LOTS of colors! Nice perk there.

These have got to be the best kitchen towels on the market.

Hands down these are the best. We've tried several different brands that had good reviews but these top them all.

We don't recommend the all black ones, they seem thinner and not as absorbent (probably due to the dye).

These are also oversized so if you have a decent counter/island then it will still do the job.

These towels are awesome and super-duper absorbent. If you get your face too close to one of them, it will suck your face in.

These towels are being discontinued, get them while you can. And yes, they will shrink some from washing, but the shrinkage is greatly outweighed by the drying power of these towels.

My wife and I purchased these kitchen towels and several other Calphalon products for our new home and love them. These towels are pretty standard, but we have washed them a few times with no major issues. My only complaint is that the strings pull out pretty easy while washing. I was able to trim the loose strings and they are good to go.

Love these big lush towels but you must must MUST wash them before using them. Maybe even a couple of times. Otherwise whatever treatment they put on the fabric does keep it from absorbing water and will just smear it around on your plates.
