An absolute piece of junk. I'd give it zero stars if I could. We owned the actual Original Hitachi -- had it for years until it finally died -- and expected this to be its equal. WRONG! The original was powerful enough to do deep back and neck massage. This is so weak it's pathetic -- doesn't even rise to the level of a decent imitation or Chinese knock off. Read the other one-star reviews from people who've had the real thing. I wish I had.

UPDATE: Kudos to Amazon. It irked me more that a company could sell this poor quality a product and never deal with the consequences due to the "No Returns" policy (however understandable the reason), than it did to lose the money, especially since I know the true quality of the real Hitachi product and how this claim to be the "Original" product is an outright lie . However, after seeing other one-star reviews where Amazon came to the rescue, I asked and received a full refund. Gotta love Amazon!

UPDATE 2: Here's a photo of the REAL Hitachi (motor in the handle) shown beside this imitation (a much smaller motor inside the head). Big Difference!

This is a fake, albeit a very good one. Packaging looks right and its branded properly, but the neck supporting the head is flimsy and the head is a jelly skin over a foam block. Amazon should be ashamed of themselves for including this as "prime"! Will be replacing with the real thing ASAP.

This is not a real Hitachi wand. Vibratex has been making Hitaxhi wands for years now.This product is weak, if you've never had the real one you might not tell the difference. It has a very weak neck that bends easily and a foam head that is thicker and softer an removable. There is no serial number on this product either.
This seller is illegally using the Vibratex name. I have had an actual Hitachi wand for years, this is a weak disappointment,

Unfortunately the version you get is completely dependent on which seller you receive your order from. I have purchased 2 of these on Amazon and 1 is excellent, the other is terrible and a knockoff. So far as I can tell there are 4 key differences, the good one says 10W, has a power prongs that only allow you to plug it in a certain way (a small prong and a big prong), can be used with lamp dimmers, and has a stiff neck. It is very powerful but heats up rather quickly (after about 10-15 minutes of use). The bad one says 20W, can be plugged in either direction (2 small prongs, no big one), CANNOT be used with lamp dimmers, and has a very flimsy neck. The difference between low on the good one and high on the bad one is ridiculous to say the least, there's no comparison. Unfortunately, since Amazon is fulfilling orders for various companies, there is no real way to ensure you get the good one. HOWEVER, the real one is amazing. It's definitely worth the risk since Amazon is so good at making sure you get what you ordered. If you do end up with a fake one contact Amazon asap so they can stop fulfillment on the bad ones.

I've owned this for a few months now and it works great for deep tissue in and around the neck and shoulders. It works out kinks and knots as well. I used to think it got hot but now I think it's from the actually vibrations in the handle making your hand numb. I like to use it on my lower back too....

Just kidding, we use it for sex and this thing will vibrate your soul loose.

Want something more powerful? Better find a small gasoline engine off a weed eater or chainsaw.
