I bought two of these for privacy on my office screens, and only used them for a few days before I pulled them off and put them in a cupboard. They make the screen so dark that it is difficult for me to see comfortably, even with the brightness turned up all the way. Maybe they are good for some, but for me with these monitors I won't use them.

They do fit well, and I didn't need to use the clips to keep them on the screen - they just snugged up inside the frame and stayed put. And, they did provide privacy, although I still had to adjust the angle of my screen to keep folks from walking up directly behind me while I was working on confidential items.

Bottom line, these do what they say, but they are not for everyone. If you want to know if you would be comfortable using these filters, turn your monitor brightness down half way and work that way for a few days. If you are cranky by the end of this test, rubbing your eyes and squinting, then these are not for you. If your eyes adjust well to the dimmer input, then maybe these would work well for you.

I was a little hesitant to purchase because of the lack of reviews and the price cut. However, I am SO glad I purchased this! It is a piece of polarized plastic - which is what privacy filters are... however, there is no mounting bracket, and with my 19 in Dell flat screen monitor, I didn't even need to put the 'tabs' on the monitor... it popped right onto the screen itself and hasn't budged. It reduces eye-strain, but doesn't overly cloud or grey the screen from the users view... and the privacy is wonderful to have. One lean to the right or left from the monitor and it blacks out.

The employee originally requested a different lamp for her office or different bulbs that did not have a "yellow" hue, but no matter what I did to accommodate her requests, she still only saw yellow light. I suggested a blackout screen to help with glare and take the pressure off her eyes adjusting to the lighting in her office. Her headaches went away within a few days and she reported that the screen worked very well.

I ordered this one for my 24 inch widescreen. The mounting systems is pathetic for the price, you will end up needing tape to hold it on after awhile. Be careful who you order it from, when I ordered their was no mention of restocking fee, but when I returned they charged me 5.99 restocking fee yet the their ad does not mention this. I would pass this product.

I work in an open office area where eyes naturally gravitate towards my bright screen. It got to the point where people would keep their eyes on what was on my screen while speaking to me, so I decided to shop around for privacy filters. Some were as expensive as $300-400, so I decided to give this one a shot. In short, it's a great product. The more expensive filters have a plastic border and can latch onto the screen, but this one sits right on the screen, which means that this filter takes up absolutely no space in my work area. It fits so well that I don't have to use the plastic tabs to keep the filter in place. While it doesn't provide 100% privacy like the more expensive ones, this filter serves its purpose quite well. People's eyes are no longer fixated on my screen, and it takes a lot of obvious effort to see it now. (You have to stand directly behind me to see the screen.) If you are looking for a filter at a good price, this is it.

You have to put your monitor in angel in order for the filter to work. Otherwise people can still see it clearly especially if they are walking or standing behind you. So the idle setup would be for multiple monitors setup in which one of two of the monitors you put them in an angel. Also make sure it's sticking right on top of the panel otherwise the screen will be very blurry hence why some of the people say it's hard on the eyes.

With so many monitors out there at 20.1", you may be tempted (as I was) to think "Oh, it fits a 20.1" screen. It'll fit mine." Not so fast...I originally ordered a 20.1" privacy screen which was 10.75"H x 17"L which I am now returning.
