I'm using this to make my own foaming hand soaps without additives/preservatives. It works very well!

Recipe:
1/3 cup Dr. Bronner's
2/3 cup filtered/distilled water
1/2 tsp sweet almond or olive or fractionated coconut oil (fractionate CO stays liquid) to moisturize
1/8 tsp your choice essential oil (you may need double or more, depending on the essential oil used, to get the scent you want)

You do need a foaming container - I re-used commercial ones from B&BW ;)

I've been using this for years and can't say enough about it! I dilute with water, 60/40 for my showers, 90/10 for baby baths, 80/20 for my older kids, and even add a few drops (like 2-3) to a small spray bottle for cleaning the diaper area. One 32 oz bottle lasts about a year. Dilution is important - full strength does tend to dry my skin and it also clogs the bottle, which is inconvenient and annoying. Be careful around the eyes - it burns quite a bit, even diluted. I am very careful with my kids, and usually just add 1-2 drops of the diluted mixture to a wet washcloth and wipe their faces gently. Works like a charm!

Good ol' Dr Bronner! You may have suffered for your sanity, but your soap lives on as the most sane saponin that money can buy. Your labyrinthine prose entertains me during my daily hygienic regimen. Unlike the chemical-laden products in the market, your pure castille soap does not distress my wife's allergenic epidermis. Your legacy lives on in frothy rivulets of cleansing magic.

I bought the unscented baby mild soap and highly recommend it. It seems a little pricy buy is worth it. I like that it is easy on our environment and kind to our skin. I found that I can wash my hands with only two or three drops of the product and it produces abundant lather and the hands actually end up squeaky clean.

Going green or trying to simplify your beauty and hygiene routine is something we all should consider. Why? I never knew how many toxins and irritants were in beauty products until I experienced a negative reaction and unfortunately, it takes that for some us to take notice. I now adhere by the 80/20 ideology when it comes to my beauty routine. Eighty percent of products that are natural and nice to my skin and body, and twenty percent of the naughty stuff. So, my mascara and eyeliner fit in the latter category, but I have even cleaned up my nail polishes and face washes. My skin actually appreciates me being nicer to it!

I love the smell of clean and this means just the freshness, minus the chemical storm I use to create. The parcel from Dr. Bronner's had a glorious scent that was clean and just in an instant made me feel relaxed and tranquil.....and I'm high strong! I blame the lavender for trying to subdue me in the middle of the afternoon, but I enjoyed every second of emptying out that box!

Dr. Bronner's 18-in-1 liquid soaps are hemp derived and I'm already on the hemp bandwagon when it comes to beauty products and solutions. I use a lip balm that saved my forever chapped lips and the miracle ingredient was simply hemp. The soaps are not only friendly to you but also the environment because they are 100% biodegradable. The Baby Unscented Pure-Castle soap is also Organic, Non-GMO certified and to add to the goodness list, Fair Trade Certified.

Ingredients (as listed on the website)-
Water, Organic Coconut Oil*, Potassium Hydroxide**, Organic Palm Kernel Oil*, Organic Olive Oil*, Organic Hemp Oil, Organic Jojoba Oil, Citric Acid, Tocopherol.

This stuff is great. I use it mainly as a body wash in the shower, but it has so many other uses: hand soap, washing clothes, washing pets, baby soap, cleaning counter tops, dish soap, etc..

I recommend diluting it 4:1 (soap:water) as a body wash, or even using it full strength. Definitely dilute it quite a bit for use on baby, as it can cause stinging on sensitive areas of the body at full strength. For general purpose cleaning, full strength or 4:1 would be good. Distilled water works best to dilute it as tap water has minerals, chlorine, or other things dissolved in it that can foul the soap. Diluting it allows a bottle to last a long time, making this soap a great value.

The soap has a nice subtle, clean, earthy smell to it. I've even added fragrance oils or essential oils to it to make my own scented body washes or hand soap.

Overall this is a 5-star product. It works well, provides great value when diluted with distilled water (recommended), has wholesome ingredients, and is far better for the environment than the mainstream soaps.

The lactation consultants at the hospital recommended using this soap to wash my breast feeding items because it was gentle enough for a newborn, but it really cleans well. I love it and use it to wash everything. Even my dishwasher on "high temp scrub" leaves a greasy residue on bottles and nipples, but this soap gets them squeaky clean.

My 4 year old has mild to moderate eczema, worse in the winter months. I've tried so many "creamy" type body washes (like Aveno and Cetaphil) on him over the years and they don't seem to do much -- he has those same scaly patches on his legs and butt. I just figured there's not much I can do but wait for summer for it to clear up. Then my friend recommended Dr. Bronner's Baby. I was skeptical the first time I tried it because it rinses so well I figured it must be drying out his skin more. But after about a week of use his skin cleared up so much. His legs are actually smooth! It's been a few weeks now and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it wasn't a coincidence but it seems like this soap has done it. I do still continue to use lotion on him after the bath of course so if you switch to this soap continue doing that.

UPDATE: It's now been a year since using this product and I have to say it still works fairly well for us. Either that or my son (who is now 6 years old) is outgrowing his eczema. That said, you can't just use a soap and have everything clear up. You still need to be vigilant about lotions and moisturizing. My sister's baby now also has bad eczema and she's found other products work better for him. After years battling eczema I've learned every child is so different so you have to try every product until you find one that works for you!
