These rods are true to their image and color online. They do look great on the wall, but the quality does leave something to be desired. For one, the rods give you NO extra space. When they say 48 inches, you'd better have a window that is 44 inches to make sure there's enough rod. I also found that the middle of these rods, when fully extended, needed additional support so that they don't dip in the middle. The rods and supports are metal, but the finials on the end are plastic. They look good, but the quality wasn't what I was expecting.

I ordered these as I needed to put up curtains in our guest room quickly. The rod is a littler thinner than what I would have liked, but they're very light weight if that's what you're looking for. But they look kind of cheap. I was trying to save money and buy inexpensive but you really do get what you pay for. They don't look like actual metal, but maybe a painted plastic. Installation was easy enough and I'll keep it up until I find something better.

These curtain rods are every bit as attractive as the picture displayed, they look much more expensive than they are. The rods themselves are light but still have a heft to them that reassures you that they will still be sturdy, I'm guessing aluminum. The end caps for the rods, while they look metal like the rest of the curtain rod, are plastic. They did a fantastic job of making them look like pewter or brushed nickel though. These ends will actually pop apart into three pieces if you're not careful, no worries though, they pop right back together without much effort.
Installation is quite easy but be aware that this will require a drill, hammer and screwdriver. You start off by drilling holes and hammering the anchors into the holes. Then it's easy as pie to screw the brackets into the wall, attach the top part of the bracket and hang your curtains.
I only deducted a star because I got shorted one screw in one of the three sets I ordered, but two out of three ain't bad right? Luckily I had some screws that were the right size to finish the job. Despite the minor issue with one of the sets I got, I highly recommend these curtain rods, excellent product at a fantastic price!

It looks very pretty and that's really all that matters in the big picture. I was surprised to see the finials were plastic but I got over it as soon as the curtain was hung because it really does look nice. I can't complain for the price.

I ended up returning these - they just looked cheap when I got them. Like they had been spray painted to look like metal but they really weren't. They were inexpensive, however. I found better ones on sale at Target for the same price.

Note the 5/8" diameter of the rod (I didn't and had to return). It's very nice, but the rod and finials are somewhat miniature - suitable for cafe curtains but not living room draperies. I only wished it had come in a larger, 1" diameter rod with proportionately bigger finials, because style-wise it was exactly what I was looking for.
