The castle is very cute and looks great with the glo fish collection, but my neon tetra swam into the top inside, got stuck, and died. I still have it in the tank, but only after stuffing the inside of the tower with plastic wrap so it can't happen again.

My name is Savannah. I am 6 years old. My parents bought me fish for my 6th birthday and they also bought me this castle. Do not buy it! It catches your fish and they can't escape. It caught our fish twice. The first time it survived. The second time it died. Do not buy it!

When I bought this castle, I was surprised by how small it actually was. Also, the castle I received was red, not brown like the picture shows and it definitely did not glow in the dark but I honestly liked it better. My female betta fit in the lower chamber perfectly and seemed to really enjoy it despite the small size. The entire interior is hollow, so if they are small enough they can swim to the top. She doesn't have large fins like the male bettas so it wasn't a problem. HOWEVER DO NOT BUY THIS CASTLE IF YOU HAVE SMALL FISH. My poor baby got curious about the smaller windows on top and got her head stuck and died instantly. I also read a review earlier that someone else's fish also got their head stuck in the window but fortunately that fish survived. Please consider the size of the fish in your tank before purchasing this. If your fish is a a betta or is a size that is comparable to the betta there is a strong chance they may have the same problem.

I bought this for my daughter's aquarium and it looked nice. We took it out about three months later to gently wash away some of the algae, and the paint cracked under the pressure of just holding it, then peeled away in chunks when we rinsed it. I could not have possibly been any more gentle- there was no scrubbing or rubbing involved. I didn't want the paint chipping off in the aquarium, so I threw it away. Extremely disappointing.

This is a cute castle and goes well with the rest of the glo fish stuff, but it could be a bit brighter. It is also smaller than i thought it would be. I have a 5 gallon tank, and it works just fine, but I think it'd be better if it were a bit bigger so the fish could go inside.

My daughter received a GloFish aquarium for her birthday. She specifically asked me to get a castle for her fish and she loves this one. The colors are more vibrant than shown in the picture, but not in a way that is gaudy. It is the perfect size for the aquarium and looks very nice. More importantly, my daughter loves it and proclaimed it to be the perfect castle.

Castle is way more red than brown, but it still works fine. I have it in a 3 gallon curved front tank and it fits perfectly. The danios love to swim in and out and it gives them a place other than plants to get away from each other. Is it what I would consider to be small seeing as it is called large? Yes. Does it measure exactly what they say it does? Yes. Only been in the tank for about 3 weeks but so far so good.
