This looming hook was perfect! The hook I had was the loom hook that came in the package with my looms. I thought it was just your typical loom hook and would last forever. Well..,it broke after about five knot projects. I needed a replacement FAST bc the hat I was looking was a Christmas gift so I ordered it with one day shipping. So easy and right on time!!
So the hook....it's so sturdy. Much more than the mediocre one I had. Very nice, comfortable , yet very solid 'body' and the tip of the hook has a tapered tip ( sharp but not like a needle that will poke through your skin). That feature is my fav part bc with the original hook I sometimes had trouble with pulling the yarn 'up' as in a pearl stitch and with the nice sharp top on this tip, it was so simple and easy to get the yarn with the very first attempt of pulling 'up through'. Loved the product. I know I'll have this one for many many projects on my loom if not forever. It's THAT good!!! Highly recommend this to anyone!!! Great price too!

I find loom knitting very satisfying, but these simple little tools can break when used with tight or heavy wool. I was down to my last hook, and I haven't found the supplies readily available in local craft stores. I was thrilled to buy a few here. They are working out just great.

I have tried several other looming tools, but this is the one I prefer. It's very comfortable to hold and overall does a good job.

I thought I'd also mention the holder that I found. It's saved me a lot of time that I now can spend knitting rather than hunting for the tool. It's only $2.90 with free shipping & comes in quite a number of colors. It ships from Hong Kong so takes 3-4 weeks to arrive. It's meant to hold an ecigarette. Search for 'lanyard ecig.'

I purchased this hook to push me over the buying limit for free shipping. I didn't really need another one, but the price is right and it never hurts to have a backup. I've used it a few times and it is OK. There is a big seam in the molded handle that is pretty annoying. I'm going to shave it off one of these days, which will help.
