My 8 year old loves the color and comfy fit on these. It's her fifth pair/style of Keens, and she has loved them all since she was little. The fabric is breathable, which makes these shoes a great summer camp alternative to other "closed toe" shoes that are acceptable to wear to most kids camp activities. Cute style and no need to mess with laces, but durable enouigh for most outdoor activities.

The velcro - arghhhhh

I ordered these for my daughter because they are vented and she has the hottest little feet, however, in about a month the velcro tab wore out completely. I tried sewing new velcro on the shoe and that didn't quite work - my husband made an attempt at gluing velcro on the shoe, which really didn't work. These were an absolute waste of money.

Nice lightweight, comfy shoes!

I think shoes are designed for a wider foot with shorter toes (ie- Flintstone feet) as opposed to a long, narrow foot. Also, Amazon lists them as "hiking shoes," but I don't think Keen advertises them as such. They're a bit too light and don't offer any ankle support like most hiking shoes. I see them more as a water shoe-- something you'd wear to a theme park (or school or camp). With that said, they're very cute and very well made. I am impressed with the amount of wiggle room in the toe box for a non-wide shoe.

These are great shoes!

My daughter is extremely active, so I wanted a pair of mary janes that were functional. My daughter wore these every day (they are her favorite), and they held up to everything she dragged them through and frequent washes in the washing machine (not sure if the company recommends that). These are extremely versatile, and I didn't even bother trying to talk her into wearing different shoes. They looked great with bare feet, socks or tights, skirts, shorts or pants. She's changed to boots now, but I will be keeping my eye out for another pair of Keens for the spring!

Perfect!

My picky daughter loves them! I guess thats all that matters right? They fit well and arrived in great condition. They are just perfect for the spring/summer time. The sizing guide was right on and I was able to order just the right size. So far she has worn them all over the place and they still look brand new. They grip well and we have had no issues with her slipping in them. Plus they don't give her blisters and required no time to break them in. I will definitely buy Keens on here again!

Velcro Did Not Last

This was our second pair of this style of shoe. Our daughter had a similar pair last summer and they were great and lasted all spring/summer/fall. This time the velcro strap stopped working not long after she started wearing them in the spring.
