I have a huge herb garden and with herbs such as dill, cilantro and basil I have to harvest some before I am ready to immediately use them. This herb keeper has kept my harvested herbs super fresh and in better condition than the day I harvested them. It is the perfect size for a normal cook. I just wish it was bigger for me. It is great for very wilty herbs like basil and cilantro. Rinse your herbs and toss them in- that is it.

Easy to clean. Takes up less space than bulky produce plastic bags and prevents herbs from getting lost in the clutter. Keeps herbs for over a week in the fridge. Till I have a garden where I can pick veggies fresh this is the next best option!

I specifically purchased this to use for fresh Basil. Basil is too bulky for my original herb keeper, but this is perfect. It works well and is easy to use.

I like this little thing. Already used it for green onions so far. They were in the frig, not doing great when this thing came in. I put remaining serviving ones into this thing, and they stayed extra one week and a half, without spoilage, until I used them. The only thing was that I had to cut them down shorter because they were to long for this container. But overall, I am very pleased with this little thing. Rignt now I have dill in it. If something will not work out, I will update my review. But for now I am very happy to have found this little inexpansive jewel. It is very easy to change the water. I had washed it after changing from onions to dill. Not sure it is necessary, I think it is good to do. Washing it is not too difficult, and is not too easy. Wouldn't it be nice if it was made from some hydrophobic plastic, so slime would not stick to it, so it could only be rinsed, without having to take it appart for washing. Of course it would cost significantly more. Anyway, after comparing many different options, this seemed like the best, ans so far I think I was right. Other options were glass, but more exansive, and seemed less convienent. This one seemed like it would be easier to use. I think it is. Although when it is full, the stems try to stick out, so one has to try to keep them inside, while closing the door. But overall, it works.

We tried every trick to keep our cilantro fresh, and nothing worked very well. Then we got this! It keeps cilantro fresh for a couple of weeks. Some of it will start to wilt (it IS fresh cut herbs after all), but remove the bad stuff as it appears and the bulk of the herb is still nice and usable. You have to empty the water as it starts to yellow, and refill with new - so you so have to check on it every few days. Easy to use, easy to clean, looks nice in the fridge. We liked this so much we gave it as a gift!

This herb keep is okay, but kind of a pain to put the herb because they keep getting caught when you shut the back side which hinges. Also, it is a pain to keep replacing the water. I prefer to use a container with a plastic bag punched with a few holes. It works just as well and easier to use.

I dutifully read the directions, as usual. I had a miserable time getting it open the first time. Then I figured out the problem. As the green pan doesn't stay put and blocks the part that opens, you can't reliably open the herb keeper easily. I have abrasions on my arm to prove it. Once you get the pan in place, the keeper works well. But then the pan moves and you are back to not being able to open it. I returned it. I guess that I should not have bought the cheapest one.
