In 1949, Mr. Kihachiro Onitsuka began his athletic footwear company (Onitsuka Co., Ltd.) by manufacturing basketball shoes out of his living room in Kobe, Japan. He chose the name ASICS for his company in 1977, based on a famous Latin phrase "Anima Sana In Corpore Sano," which, when translated, expresses the ancient ideal of "A Sound Mind in a Sound Body." Taking the acronym of this phrase, ASICS was founded on the belief that the best way to create a healthy and happy lifestyle is to promote total health and fitness.     My son likes the aesics shoes. They happen to fit him very well. The same is true for me. Each manufacturer uses a slightly different last to make the shoe. You need to find the manufacturer who makes the shoe that fits your foot, or the foot of your loved one. Aesics just happen to work for us. Also, for the trail running shoes and running shoes, they make shoes with great support. A golf shoe purposefully has less support on the arch because the right foot is meant to roll over the arch area of the shoe. Otherwise, the shoe is made in a fine manner, will last long, and is made as described.

    Feels like an ASICS running shoe and has good grip. Played about 6 rounds so far and no complaints. About as comfortable as my Nike Freerange's. The shoes are not water proof and my feet were a little wet after playing on a mud bog course, but not as wet as I thought they would get. They dry out pretty quick and breath well. Good traction and pretty comfortable...a lot more comfortable than traditional golf shoes.

    I have worn Asics running shoes for 18 years so when I saw they had golf shoes, it was a no brainer for me to get these. I have been wearing other brand golf shoes and my feet hurt after 18 holes overtime. With these Asics shoes, no pain and that's a good thing. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a very comfortable golf shoe.

    i have been playing golf for 40 years and this is the lightest and most comfortable golf shoe i have ever purchased - it is basically a running shoe with spikeless cleats - the traction is as good as any shoe out there - can be worn anywhere so you do not have to change shoes to play - buy it !!

    I have a bone spur on my heel and these shoes are, without a doubt, the most comfortable I have ever worn. The molded bottom is not made for aggressive swings, so if you're looking for shoes that are made for the PGA, these are not for you! The average golfer will love them.

    I played in these shoes this past weekend, and they felt awsome. I walk 18 holes every weekend, and my feet were less tired than my Nikes. I run in ASICS, so I thought I knew what I was getting...which was confirmed on my first outing.

    Besides the comfort level, I also appreciated that they performed well for their primary purpose of golfing. Even when I was in the sand trap, I never felt my feet slipping resulting in a bad shot.

    The shoe has the classic ASICS stripes and really looks and feels like a running shoe. It might not look like a typical golfing shoe, but I like the look.

    I'm pretty sure these shoes are durable based on the ASICS running shoes that I put over 800 miles on.

    Among the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. Good support. Good traction, though I've only worn them in dry weather on courses bathed by the New Mexico sun. My sneaker size is 10.5. I ordered the 10.5 ASICS. The fit is perfect. Highly recommend.

    Just got finished with my first round in these. It's almost 100 here in Texas, and these shoes breathe great. To me, they are kind of like most Asics, except a little lighter. I think they are a half inch or so higher than standard golf shoes if your sizing is on the cusp. Mine is, but these are so comfortable I do not care.
