I'm rebuilding my home studio, and am setting up a penetration plate so I can keep my computer and some other noisy equipment in a closet. this jack was exactly what I needed to run Keyboard, mouse, and USB/MIDI keyboard from the studio into the closet. (You'll need to provide your own USB cable)

the jack mounts into holes originally designed for XLR jacks, so finding a plate to mount it in, or making one yourself is not difficult.

These parts didn't come with the mounting screws, like the firewire one I also ordered did, but other than that an awesome product
