NZXT describes this case with three words "Clean. Modern. Silent." One of those, "Silent," is particularly key to the review - if you use the case with its stock fans, you will be disappointed, but if you swap out NZXT's fans, this case is virtually perfect.

Let's hit up each of those three categories in this review:

**Clean**

Definitely. This case has a very minimal design and I love it. There are two 5-1/4" bays in the front with a backport light, two USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.0 ports, a headphone jack, a microphone jack, and a memory card reader very elegantly placed down the side. What's the "backport light?" Well, NZXT has kindly installed a small LED light over the exterior of your expansion cards for easy plugging in. Unfortunately, the light only turns on when the computer's on, so it's not super useful (I like to plug in my monitors with my system off). At the top of the case, there's your power and reset buttons. That's it. An incredibly elegant design, really.

**Modern**

I choose to look at the inside of the case when I think modern. This case is HUGE (both physically and in terms of interior space). Do you remember the opening scene of 2001: A Space Odyssey with the giant black monolith? Yes, this case is THAT big. It's got nine 3.5" drive bays as well as two 2.5" SSD bays on the backside of the motherboard. Speaking of motherboard, you can fit pretty much any motherboard you'd like in here (I went with the ASUS Z87 Deluxe for my Haswell build).

Cable routing is outstanding as you can guide all of the cables behind the motherboard and completely out of space.Read more ›

Poorly thought out, not really quiet, other NZXT products integrate badly.

I just finished putting together a new system based around a core of NZXT products (case, cooler, fan control, etc) because the components had impressive features, the reviews were good and, coming from the same company, I expected the pieces to work well together. To my surprise and disappointment, every single product that I used from NZXT had moderate to significant flaws in design or execution. Either the product wasn't well thought out - features that looked good on paper didn't work as you'd expect - or the product was poorly made - software worked badly, pieces were flimsy or components were of low quality. While on paper their products may hit all the check marks when it comes to features, I can't say I could recommend any of the pieces that I had experience with and I have my doubts about NZXT's portrayal as a top-tier company focused on innovation and quality.

This case showed lots of promise with, as described in their promotional text, "The new H is the first of its kind to support up to two 200mm fans in the front of the enclosure... The H630 offers exceptional support for a wide range of liquid cooling solutions, including the ability to mount 240mm, 280mm and 360mm radiators." What they failed to mention is that you can't have both two 200mm fans in the front and a 280mm radiator in the bottom position. Since I bought two NZXT Kraken x61's (one for the CPU, one for the GPU) which have 280mm radiators, I had to sacrifice one of the front 200mm fans to make room for the Kraken.

Removing one of the fans was probably a moot point anyway, considering the front fans have to draw air in through a 1" by 12" slit on the right side of the case.Read more ›

Not flashy but handsome and HUGE!

You should only pay $150.00 for this case. Shop around!

The case will stun you a little bit at first, if you're used to a traditional mid-tower. Next to a mid-tower it's like a lift kit Chevy Suburban next to a Honda Fit. It makes you feel like you need to jack up the size of all your other furniture at first. If you're somebody who likes to do a lot of tuning and fiddling, you love the roominess and ease with which you can access the internals of your system in this case.

Pros:

1. HUGE! You can do whatever you want in this case from water cooling to 4-way SLI/Crossfire. The longest video cards out there will fit no problem without even removing any of the THREE 3.5/2.5 modular drive cages. If you feel that you don't have enough room just climb inside to get closer to your work :D (just kidding).

2. Quiet (if you don't have a lot of small fans running at high speed. The bigger, the quieter when it comes to fans!)

3. You can easily mount TWO 200 mm fans in front AND also mount TWO 200 mm fans in the top (See footnote 2).

4. Built-in SD card reader (every case should have this)

5. 10 expansion ports in rear allow for 4-way SLI / Crossfire or installation of additional USB / Firewire etc. ports without interfering with the typical 6 or 7 expansion slots on your ATX motherboard. (Cardless port adding Doo-hickeys come with some motherboards).

6. Looks good in a handsome subdued fashion.

7. Nice big Power Button on top surface of front right corner. Button is recessed to prevent accidental activation.

8. LEDs which light up the I/O panels in the rear (activated by small button above front panel side located USB & Audio ports.
