The knob has the right shape in the back to fit in place and make the dryer functional, but it is clearly not the same material, style or quality as the knob it is replacing. It is generic and too big for the allotted space so it sits on the peg kind of wonky .... but it functions, and is better than using a pair of pliers to make the dryer start so it is what I was doing before, and it was cheaper than paying thirty bucks for a knob from a Frigidaire man.

So the moral of the story is I got what I paid for, a cheap replacement part.

Happy to find this for a good price. Couldn't find it at appliance stores and had to pay over $20 to get direct from manufacturer (shipping was twice as much as knob). Would probably work on other dryers to. The fitting is pretty generic - circular on one end, flat on the other (like this: D).

Great price which is why I took the gamble in buying it as it is not an authentic frigidaire product. It did not work at all because the back does not have the circular insert sticking out at all so it cannot connect to the post on the dryer in order to turn the knob. It is also bigger than the space provided on the dryer so it covers up most of the times. I would not have minded that if it could connect to the dryer but it won't. I did not mind making this purchase as it was inexpensive but now I must spend the $20 to buy the real knob.

I ordered this knob using the part number. The photo looks identical to the knob I was replacing. It arrived as scheduled, and it does fit. However, it is not identical to the broken knob: the flange around the knob is larger, so it doesn't fit all the way into the space on the dryer. It sits slightly off, so it could be knocked off it not careful. That said, it works so I will keep it.

Fellas, you know the frustration you experience when your wife dismisses your knob because it's broken, and she just can't be bothered to work that hard to turn it up anymore? When you have to resort to artificial means of getting your dial turned upward, like gloves, an over-hard grip, or even.. pliers?
Solve your relationship problems today - replace your old, broken, dusty, impotent knob with a bright, shiny, tight-fitting, grippable knob like this one. It matched the factory equipment, got delivered quickly, and slipped right on. Sure, the rest of the moving parts involved in the machinery needed a little lube to work like new again, but the whole operation is purring like a satisfied kitten once more. Now my wife is happy to grab it, give it a good turn, and tell me how great it works for her again. Replace it yourself, fellas, before she goes out and finds one on her own.
To get technical... This is a perfect fit for my FDG336RES2 Frigidaire dryer.

My knob on the dryer twisted off and I had to get a replacement. Bought this and it's just like the original. It fits and works, but I wish that it had metal inside it because eventually the plastic will break again. Oh well. At least it was cheap.
