If you are using US measurements all the way, this measuring jug will work great for you. But if you need to measure in metric for any ml amount less than a liter, then it's a bit weird. The cup holds one liter, but delineates the scale using fractions of a liter; 3/4 liter, 1/2 liter and 1/4 liter. This is really inconvenient. Let's say you need 600 ml. Well, you have to recall that 1/2 a liter = 500 ml. Then you have to count the gradations and, finding 5 major gradations between 1/2 a liter and 3/4 of a liter, you realize that each gradation = 50ml. So, 1/2 a liter + 2 gradations = 600 ml. Well done! Now repeat this silly game for every amount in metric that you must measure.
Again, if you're not interested in measuring anything in ml then you'll be hunky-dory. The plastic looks durable and the jug sturdy.
But for strange metric labeling I give it a 3/5!

I use it measure the oil for the engine of my car as the oil I used comes in 5L containers and my vehicle only holds 4.5L. Makes changing the oil much easier and I'm not worried about accidentally overfilling now. So far it seems to hold up against synthetic oil just fine. The marking haven't rubbed off and the material hasn't discolored or shown any other signs of damage.

Very nice measuring device ... NOT flimsy. Used to mix 50/50 solution of Antifreeze, and determine how many ounces my cooling system needed, to bring it back up to proper capacity. Very handy. Markings are good. Just clean it well after use, and it should last you a good long time. I'd recommend.

I bought this as a means to help with Pool maintenance. As Pool chemicals, in its concentrated form, can be caustic I needed something that resistant to Acid and Chlorine.

This fit the bill for a small 12,000 gallon in ground pool as I rarely had to go over the 1liter mark. On the occasions I do, a little bit of math. No brainer really. This has held up well over the 6mos of regular use. I think it will last at least a few years. I don't leave it in direct sunlight, stays in a pool shed when not in use, as plastics of any sort will degrade, yellow or fade in sunlight.
