The diameter of this is no larger than a quarter but it is very sturdy and will hold up to a door swinging into it just fine. As long as there is a stud or tile behind it this small stylish stop does the job of a much bulkier door knob stop. I do not think this would work well if drywall is already damaged and has been repaired

This door stop is very small, but it does the job. Its installation is very easy and it is required to be careful selecting the right spot to place it; the only detail I don't like, is the nail used to make sure the base won't rotate.

Works great. It's small, but still big enough to do the job. I have a brick arch, and we didn't want to drill into the brick. So I bought these, and mounted with epoxy. It's small enough that you barely notice it's even there. Because it is small, measure twice, mount once. I put mine slightly lower than center. This lets the actual door knob hit the stopper, not the spinning lock mechanism. If the door opens hard, hits stopper hard, you can damage the lock.

I purchased this to prevent our refrigerator doors from hitting a wall when opened.

The installation took 10 minutes (didn't even need any instruction), and most of that time was me trying to be a perfectionist with my placement.

It's small, simple and functional. And I am completely happy with the purchase.

Knew these were size of a quarter from reviews...but when I seen them.....wow...yep....size of quarter. ...lol
Even if they don't work because of needed a stud....I will put a small 4x4" ...1/4" thick board behind door stop. Paint the backing plate same as wall....and we have a small discrete nice stop.....love it!!

Exquisite, meticulously machined hardware. I just love these door stops. This product is, by far, manufactured with the most precision and of the highest quality of any hardware or product I have purchased in the last 5 years.
Small, elegant and effective at stopping the door handle from hitting the wall. Easy to install. Plastic anchor included, use a 5mm or 3/8th inch drill bit, hammer in anchor screw in base plate, pound in small nail to prevent rotation of base plate, then screw in beautiful brushed nickle stopper over the plate by hand.
My first installation took 2 or 3 minutes; less than 1 minute for the following installations.

These are some well made door stoppers but they are tiny compared to normal stoppers. The issue with this is that they will not displace the force of the door knob any better than the door knob itself. This would be suitable for a hard surface but probably won't do you any good on something softer like drywall unless you got lucky enough to mount it on a stud. The rubber nub does offer some cushion but I doubt it would be enough to be effective if say the wind blew the door open.

The lock on door to the garage hits the refrigerator and this little stop was the perfect thing to prevent any dents. Neither my refrigerator or the door is going anywhere for a long time so I Gorilla glued it on. I suppose you could glue a magnet on it. It looks like it was made for the fridge!
