Bought this size XL for my Shepard/husky mix who is 55 lbs. Fits her perfect! This is the 3rd costume I purchased for her, and I finally found the one that fits comfortably. She is able to walk around with no problem and it stays on with the exception of the the hood. When she sits the hood falls back, but that's no big deal. Good quality, doesn't seem like it will rip or tear easily.

ADORABLE! There are 8 legs, per some reviews that groused about there being only 6. The medium fits my 20 lb cat (on Facebook as Mack - Therapy Cat in Training). And, for the feline costume wearer...this could be legitimately called an Octo-Puss Costume. Great! Too much fun. Our other cat (not as malleable as Mack) is only 10 pounds and walked right out of it. The costume is well made and is of a light plush material. Velcro closures at the chest. Loose enough for Mack to walk around in without restriction. The hood flops over his eyes, so that is problematic. May have to throw a couple stitches into it to make it fit his smaller head. But, oh so darling!
