Runs 4 IP cameras (7W) I have.

+ 60W power budget (with power loss, 12.75W x 4 is the max I would plug in in going the max cat5 distance)
+ All ports are gigabit
+ Fanless is very nice and worth it.
+ Very small and the power brick isn't that big
+ Metal housing
- PoE ports are not labeled! 1-4 are PoE but a label would be nice.

Please understand power loss and PoE classes when doing the power budget. What arrives at the device, isn't what is sent. This is not a four port, class 3 PoE switch! It may appear "DOA," drop out, or "die" occasionally as the unit is protecting itself if you overload it. If your device is higher than 13W (including IR lights for IP cameras as those usually are left out) and you want to run four of them, you need a different switch.

Class 2: 7W ---> 6.49W
Class 3: 15.4W ----> 12.95W
Class 4: 30W -----> 25.5 W

Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) ----> Powered Device (PD).

Longevity? I don't know. Ordered two. Neither came DOA and both have been running 4 PoE devices a piece.

Great switch. Been working for almost a year now (24/7 operation) and has operating without a hitched. Using the PoE ports to power a UniFi AP Pro. No problems, power delivery is great, even over several meters.

Sturdy, and I love the metal feel of the box. Switches do tend to get a little warm, and the ones that have a metal/aluminum (I have no idea what it is made out of) frame keeps it cooler than if it were plastic.

Really not much else to say about this switch. The switch fabric is 16Gbps and computers with gigabit connections plugged in do indeed transfer files with gigabit speeds. It works, plug-and-play and no complaints. This is my 3rd TRENDnet switch, all are working, and simply reliable.

So far so good. Only have it running less than a month so I don't know about reliability, but all ports work initially. I'm only using 2 of the POE+ ports for now (both with IP cameras and approximately 50' cables), but it has no problem supplying enough power for the cameras' IR LEDs. I'm using all four non-powered ports in addition to the 2 powered ports.
Would be nice if it had keyhole mounting slots on the bottom for wall mounting. I just rigged up some brackets.

I have ordered several of these and used them for powering up security camera's. When they work, they work fine, but they don't always work. I have pulled 2 out of the box that seemed to be dead. Company told me to just order a replacement so I did. They get the job done, if it can power up.

POE+ by definition has a 30Watt power. If the whole switch has a total power budget of 31 watts, how could you label this switch as a 4-port POE+ switch? This is definitely misleading advertisement and try to catch buyers who only reads the product name but not detailed product specifications. I have used Trendnet and TP-link and Netgear POE switches. Trendnet by far has the HIGHEST defective rate. Netgear and TP-link so far have zero defective units. Trendnet has at least 6 units either DOA or died within warranty period. I will let you be the judge as to whose quality is better and whose product you want to avoid.

Skip this switch.

Had three go bad in a two week period. Attempted to run four Pelco cameras (1x D5230, 1x IME-219, 1x IBP319, 1x IXE31), and my only concern was that the D5230 which is a 1080p 30x PTZ dome was going to run it hard...

First switch worked fine for a week, now all the POE lights are stuck on even with no eth ports occupied, Trendnet support has no idea why. According to tester, it's putting out power regardless of poe sense.

Second two did same thing where one port dies and won't power a device. Not buying any more of these, they are not worth my time to go back and troubleshoot or spend time RMA'ing. Just buy something for a little more and spend your valuable time elsewhere.

It has no management interface, so it won't do VLANs or anything fancy, but negotiates link speed and MTU properly as long as you put two things that want to do a specific MTU on both ends. My Xen host and FreeNAS box are both set to do jumbo frames and this little switch has been doing just fine with that.

Good throughput and haven't had any problems. I am streaming lots of cameras through 2 of these switches so they are constantly relaying packets and I have not had any problems. No resets, no freezes, nothing out of the ordinary. Would buy again. Just wish they would make it full 8 port PoE or use the LTPOE++ protocol for more power.
