This product would be perfect if it didn't stick out so far from the wall when it is plugged in. I wanted to hide this behind my dresser but after I plugged it in, my dresser looked ridiculous standing 6" away from the wall.

I bought this to control two lamps at once. The unit works, and is convenient overall but I didn't understand that the actual 4 plug unit plugs into the wall outlet - I thought it would have an extension cord that plugged into the socket so the unit that the devices plug into can be "hidden" out of view. It says it has a 6 foot cord to the push button control, but it sure seems shorter than that, so it's hard to keep out of view. Overall I'm not unhappy with the purchase, but I was hoping it would work a little differently.

I like this thing. My dog is too short to reach the light switches on the wall, so I have lamps plugged into these around the house. She is trained to turn lights on and off for me. These work great. The only negative is that if I go out in the evening, the dog turns the light in the living room on. I guess she doesn't like being in the dark alone.

I didn't like the idea of leaving my oil heater plugged in when i am not home, even with it off. I also didn't like having to unplug and then plug it in every day, since the outlet is low and a bit out of the way.

This is perfect.

if you turn it around it has 1 set of outlet prongs centered on the top (2 prong plus ground). and bottom centered are a set of plastic prongs ones to go into the lower wall socket for additional support.

I didnt want all products connected to that outlet on this item, so i plugged this unit into the lower outlet. yes, it kinda stick out a but since the lower plastic plugs push it out from the wall a bit. though it has never fell out of the socket, and our sockets are a bit older and not very snug to begin with.

the red LED on the top center lets you know very clearly if it is on or off which is nice.

PRO:
splits outlets
long cord with sturdy pedal i step on daily
Clear LED to know if its on or off (some people might not like the light)

CON:
this is not a surge protector and does not claim to be. just be aware of that fact.

personally, i think it can handle 17 amps. but then again i have no idea what an amp is.

I wanted to be able to plug lighting into the socket and have the push button/switch on a night stand. it works great for that! The 4 gang box has a 3 prong plug on the back that plugs directly into the wall, so know that you'll need a little space between the wall and anything in front of the outlets. When you push the button/switch, there is a somewhat loud "click" from the press of the button, didnt expect that, but it shouldn't wake anyone up. When turning it on, there is a small delay of a second or two before power is delivered to the outlets. For our needs the cord between the switch and gang box was plenty long. Overall, would recommend.

We had a big IKEA hanging light ( when we child proofed and put all the pretty lamps away for awhile) and just moved into a house with no light switch connected to the outlet! ( weird) I was so tired of having to struggle to find the cord and the outlet behind the couch to plug in the light ! This solves it, I even wall mounted it with double stock tape so the button is right by the other light switches in the room when you first walk in. (used tiny clear command hooks to keep the cord out of the way). Love love love.
