I've tried these in the recommended dosage of two capsules per night for seven non-contiguous nights. I fell asleep on average one hour after ingestion of the capsules which is somewhat slower than benzodiazepines [20-30 minutes] or zolpidem tartrate [Ambien] about 40-50 minutes. So I would say they are quite effective in getting you to fall asleep. The problem is that they do nothing to keep you from reawakening once you have fallen asleep. I would suspect that the Valerian powder is the main ingredient in getting you to fall asleep and the lack of its ability to keep you asleep is well documented in the medical literature. The other propriety blend ingredients [in which the company doesn't have to tell you their respective strengths or amounts] are HOPS, as in beer and is also known to have some sleep inducing properties especially when given in combination with Valerian; Ashwangadha powder better known as Indian Ginseng which is used to combat stress and in that way help you to fall asleep; Lavender which is folk remedy for anxiety, depression, and etc.; and Melatonin of which we are generally all familiar with. The problem is without knowing the strengths of any of these DRUGS and also not knowing what or even if you are taking some drugs prescribed by your doctor you may have some deleterious side effects.

The other problem I have is with the primary ingredient being vitamin B12 at 8 1/3 times the RDA. B12 is used to treat a deficiency primarily known as pernicious anemia.or in people who cannot use the normal amounts they have in their system. But you wouldn't know any ot that without a blood test ordered by your doctor. It is also combined with calcium and magnesium in amounts small enough to do you no harm, but also with Zinc at 1 2/3x RDA.Read more ›

This works surprisingly well for me personally. I've had sleep problems for decades, due to chronic health problems (Lyme disease, fibromyalgia) and associated muscle pain. I've tried many herbs and supplements, and the combination used in this product is one of the best in allowing me to fall asleep, reach a deeper sleep, and stay asleep for longer periods.

I've had no issues with feeling sluggish in the morning, and no side effects.

Two things keep me from giving this a 5-star rating: First, there is a very high B-12 content - about 8 times the daily requirement. This is great if you're deficient, which you wouldn't know without a blood test. If you're not deficient, that's a lot of B-12 to take continually. This supplement is fine for occasionally use, but use caution if you're unsure about your B-12 levels.

The other thing that bothers me far more is the use of blue dye. This is absolutely, totally, completely unnecessary. It's used here to make the capsule blue. For what? Visual appeal? That would be the only reason, and it's not an acceptable one. I won't get into the controversy of food dyes, the Blue #1 in particular. I'll simply say there is not enough research on its safety, and too much on its possible complications for me to feel comfortable with its arbitrary inclusion in this supplement. In fairness, had I noticed that before opting to order this, I would not have tried to product at all. But, since I didn't catch it and I did order it, I gave the product a fair test. If not for the blue dye, I'd happily order this again.

This is a highly effective formula, containing very simple ingredients--- vitamin b-12, calcium, magnesium, zinc and a combination of Ashwaganda powder, hops flower powder, lavender powder, valerian root powdera and melatonin. It is far preferable to the Rx sleep aids that leave one feeling groggy in the morning, in that it works without that unpleasant side effect. Plus, of course, there is no medical risk.

The only problem, as another reviewer mentioned, is the toxic ingredients in the capsule itself. I get around that by dumping the contents of two capsules into water, and washing it down.

Haven't slept that well in a while now.

Sleep is very important for rejuvenating body and mind and we all need at least 8 hours of sleep every night. Having said, There are days and I am sure everyone has experienced it wherein because of pressure at work or life keeps you awake thinking about issues to resolve and thereby falling asleep naturally becomes impossible on certain nights. There are plethora of sleep-aid medications that one can buy off the counter in most pharmacies but since those sleep-aid are harmful if you become dependent on them which in my humble opinion is worst than alcohol addiction to fall asleep!

Creative Medical Labs Natural Rest supplement reviewed here Contains all natural ingredients which are Lavendar Valarian,Hops,Ashwaghanda which are naturally plant derivatives which are known to induce sleep. The capsules in this bottle can be opened and the powdered contents can be mixed with water if you are allergic to the capsule coating. The powdered medicine is not bitter and has neutral taste. You can try little or take the whole capsule if you want the full strength.

I tried this and I was able to fall asleep restfully without any morning grogginess or continued drowsiness during the day which means the medication helped me fall sleep naturally rather than forcing me to sleep with heavy dose of chemicals. You need to ensure that the night you take this medication you have 8 hours or more dedicated in advance for sleeping otherwise do not take it.

This is Made in the USA by a FDA-certified manufacturer and since it did not have any adverse side effects I am rating this with four stars.
