I purchased this product because of the great price (yes, you do get 16 bottles) and ease of having the bottles delivered rather than carrying them home from the grocery store. I purchased these for a relative going through extensive oral surgery and on a long-term liquid diet.

When the order arrived, I noticed that the labels were slightly different, but I figured that companies change labels all the time; and the product name was the same, so wasn't concerned. After drinking several of the shakes, the relative I purchased these for told me that the taste was not the same as the product I purchased at the grocery store.

After looking a little more closely at the bottles, I realized that they are labeled "Not for Retail Sale."

I contacted the seller, Prime Medical Store, requesting a refund as the image and product description do not reflect what I received. The response was very rude. I was told "We sent you exactly what you ordered." Prime Medical also confirmed that "The ones [Ensure Complete] sold online are the institutional packs and are not for retail sale." I was told they would refund the cost of the bottles that I returned "at [my] own cost." When I insisted they should pay the shipping cost, they refused.

I am still not sure how it is permissible for this company to sell product that they admit is "institutional packs and are not for retail sale." I will be following up with Amazon to try and resolve this issue.

My recommendation is to avoid any business with Prime Medical Store.

Once received 4 bottles and thrice received 16 bottles. Note the subtle difference between the “4 pack” in the image and the “pack of 4” in the product title. The product quantity shipped should not be open to interpretation! Who in their right mind would purposely spend $30 on a $10 product?

I am pretty finicky about nutrition drinks, however, due to recent surgery it was recommended that I drink Ensure Complete because of its nutritional value. I tried the vanilla while in the hospital - it was okay. When I got home we bought the milk chocolate --WOW!!!! It is absolutely wonderful -- no after-taste, rich, creamy chocolate, and the very first nutrition drink that is a keeper!! UMM, UMM The price is excellent!!

Sheesh, these things are freakin' expensive! My elderly aunt mainly drinks Ensure Plus, and likes them very much. I was hoping to slip in one of these Ensure Completes for every two to four Ensure Pluses just to vary the nutritional content a little. The difference between the two is very small, however, and Ensure Complete is much more expensive. Barring a doctor's order to switch to this variety of Ensure, I'll stick to Ensure Plus which, while more expensive than plain Ensure, is still a lot less than Ensure Complete while being nearly identical.

5 stars anyway because the stuff is great for those who don't eat balanced meals or need more calories, and is very palatable for people like my aunt who need to avoid sugars but like sweet stuff and don't like to swallow anything with a consistency more dense than mashed potatoes.

I like Ensure for lots of reasons. I like this product a great deal when I'm running, running, running and I'm too busy to eat properly. I also use it when I just don't feel well and have no appetite. Frankly, I think that I sometimes use it to soothe my guilty conscience when I've lived on burgers and fries and other fast foods for a couple of days and haven't even seen a piece of fruit for a week! The presence of Ensure in my frig also assures both me and my family that I am taking care of myself. Finally, I also love the taste, and occasionally just drink it as a nourishing treat -- like a milkshake! Ensure is a relatively inexpensive, convenient, delicious, and nutritious way for the busy modern man or woman to keep fit and to stay healthy. Did I mention that it's also delicious?
