Thank you for your feedback.
These are a great replacement, I love how they fit and they feel great even on longer runs.
I'm glad I did bc they fit perfectly and it does feel like your walking around barefoot.
They fit true to size and are extremely comfy for running as well as everyday wear.

I just heard that Vibram five fingers settled for 3.5 million in a class action law suit due to "false advertising". In the lawsuit Valerie Bezdek (the plaintiff) claimed that Vibram shoes do not do as advertised. She claims it is false advertising that Vibram shoes "Provide all the benefits of barefoot running" and she further claims "there are no well-designed scientific studies that support
Defendants’ health benefits claims regarding FiveFingers".
    (Source of actual lawsuit:[...]

So Valerie Bezdek may be correct in that there are not ENOUGH studies out about the benefits of barefoot activities, but let me be abundantly clear: VALERIE BEZDEK IS A LAME PERSON THAT DOES NOT DESERVE HER PAIR OF FREE SHOES.

    Here's why:
Vibram 5 fingers was (at the time of her purchase) a rather new style of shoe and everyone purchasing these shoes understands you need to work your way into training with these gradually. People that experience negative effects are using them too often and have not yet learned to walk barefoot yet. It took me 3 months to work up to using vibrams for full time hiking. If she was not experiencing the benefit and strengthening of her feet, then she was either 1) using minimalist shoes prior, which also strengthen feet. or 2) not using vibrams properly as instructed, which would result in her damaging her feet from too much use too quickly.

I can tell you unequivocally Vibram five fingers DO strengthen your feet and DO provide health benefits to those that re-learn how to 'walk barefoot' properly over time. These are amazing shoes. Shame on Valerie Bezdek for wanting more free stuff. I hate people like this.

**Update 10/12/2015: I did not wear these daily and had them for about a year. I probably used them once a week at the most because my feet got too cold in them for casual wear. They have a hole that appeared on the seam on the side where the fabric meets the vibram rubber. They obviously don't hold up very well and need better quality control or reinforced seams. I recommend only using these in the gym. If you have a home gym which is what I'm currently using, then I prefer bare feet. They're constructed flimsily and I would look for a different model.

I had to do a lot of research on this model because the women's reviews on the other colors for this model are pretty much useless in terms of sizing and feedback. But first, let me get this out of the way in case you're excited about the color in the photo -- it is inaccurate. It is much darker in person. The images have been enhanced.

I refused for the longest time to buy VFF shoes because they're heavily biased towards men's designs and seem to market their products towards men and women are left with some noticeably horrible colors to choose from. Pepto-bismol pink? Come on. If you compare the bottom of this shoe to the bottom of the men's version, you'll also notice that the men's sole texture is superior.

This is a new fall color and even though I was disappointed with it, it is an improvement on the pink model.

KSO Evo is most likely best for running on tread-mills and tracks, and possibly side-walks but I'm using them everywhere because I wanted the best ground feedback possible and other VFF models had too much sole thickness for me to be satisfied with. If you don't want to feel pebbles in the road or on sidewalks then you might want to try the Bikila EVO model.

So, when I first put these on my toes felt like they were smothering. I have wide, short feet. Someone advised me to make sure that I was bending my toes with my hands as I put them in the toe sleeves...that helped, I also put foot lotion on my feet (not too much) so that they would go in easier. I wore them in the house for a couple of days to see if I would be able to get over that "tight" feeling. After the third day, I took a three mile brisk walk...they wore wonderfully. My feet or legs did not hurt during or afterwards. They gave me support, but super comfortable...not too tight. As I walked, my toes spread out and adjusted. I did not wear socks with these shoes. I really like them, what I was looking for...

I was disappointed with theses shoes. We typically LOVE our VIbrams, my daughter has worn these shoes exclusively in gym since coming off chemotherapy in 2010 with neuropathy in her feet. I can't say enough about the value for that specific reason. I am giving two stars because this particular pair the soles were thinner and one of the shoes soles was aready coming unglued..we needed them so kept them and reglued ourselves, but for the cost these shoes shouldn't have issues after the first time worn.

I have been wearing Vibram Fivefingers for several years now and I have yet to meet a pair that I don't like. These are a beautiful purple and are as comfortable as ever. Based on reading some other reviews, here are some tips for newcomers to Vibram:

    1. Find a store near you that sells them and try them on. Find out your actual size (41, 42, etc), rather than relying on size charts. Sometimes a long toe will move you up in size.
    2. Decide whether you want to wear toe socks or not. (I used to be a fan of not wearing them, but the shoe funk in Vibrams is much worse if you wear them without socks. It is much easier to wash and bleach white toe socks than it is to get the funk out of the shoes.) If you choose to wear toe socks, pay for a pair upfront to wear around and see if you really like them. Try on the Vibram Fivefingers with the toe socks on to make sure that they don't cause you to move up a size.
    3. Rotate your shoes. The previously mentioned funk can get downright embarrassing if you are wearing the same pair of shoes day in and day out. Even washing them once or twice a week will not be able to kill all of the smell. I have several pairs of Fivefingers, but when I moved, all but one got boxed up. I had to wear the same pair for a month straight while trying to find the box with the rest of them. I washed them weekly, but it is summer. I still haven't found the box, but I did order 3 more pairs to be able to rotate them through.
    4. Start out slow. It has been said before, but is worth repeating that transitioning from traditional shoes to Fivefingers takes time. Don't overdo it.
    5. If you like to be barefoot, you will most likely love this shoe.
