Works perfectly- with the caveat that you understand voltage drops. If you plan on putting this with 15 feet of the device, it shouldn't be a problem especially above 9 volts. HOWEVER... if you are running distances of 25-100 feet or more, then you MUST understand resistance and voltage drops. Don't blame the manufacturer if you don't understand the laws of physics! In most all cases, any distance about about 20 feet will require you to use a larger power supply with higher voltage/amps. If you're Handy, you can check the voltage for yourself with a meter and see what kind of voltage you are getting at the device. I got this to supply power to a device that was 60 feet away from an outlet. Originally the power supply that came with the device did not have the "umph" to work. I found a similiar power supply with a higher amp output. That is what it took to provide the voltage and amperage to the device. The longer the wire, DC current does loose its "umph" so either use a shorter wire, thicker wire or increase the power supply. The splitter does direct power over the white/brown | brown pair so it does exactly what it should.

I have used these on several 9 and 12 volt cameras with 50-100' cable lengths and no issues. However if you are running 5 volt cameras, these might not supply enough current to run some cameras at night or larger PTZ cameras at all. For those you will want the active injectors.

These indeed did power the camera just fine, but I found my night image was really bad. Read online that you cannot use these on long runs as the power drops. Indeed I moved the power supply near the camera and what a world difference. If you have a short run this would probably be fine or using it on a camera that doesn't use IR lighting. The daytime image was fine and this was running through a 50' cable.

I run several IP/Network cameras at my house and I choose to run wired ones for outdoor use. I run the wiring through the attic to accomplish this feat and running them over PoE through an adapter like this is preferred because it saves you from running multiple cables.

It works just fine and does what it's supposed to. Good price, too.

These are not what I want, but they are what I can afford. I have installed two of them on two different models of Escam IP cameras, and both are operating with no problems whatsoever. The longer run is between thirty to forty feet, and again works as expected.

The build quality is about what I expected for the price, but again - everything works as advertised, so I don't have any room to complain.

These work well for their intended purpose. The only limitation (and there is no way around this due the the use of two pairs for power) is that you will only be able to get a 100mbps ethernet connection when using these, instead of a 1gbps.
