This is a great wind-back set for a fraction of the price of similar kits sold at automotive or discount hardware stores. Nothing about this set is "cheap" or "skimpy." Even the case is very well constructed.

One thing not mentioned in the product details is that the adapter end is magnetized to hold the individual adapter securely. This is a definite plus when trying to manipulate a caliper. This kit was great for turning back the screw-type pistons in my rear calipers, but worked even better pushing back the traditional pistons in my front calipers. It's a must for someone with disc brakes who does his/her own maintenance.

My only gripe about this kit is that the included directions aren't the best when figuring out how to appropriately use this tool. However, it is fairly simple to use, by design. Also, there are a few YouTube videos that show how to use a wind-back tool if you just can't figure it out. Wind-back kits are pretty much universal in this regard.

I was thrilled when this set arrived and I found it to be far higher quality than I had originally expected. I immediately used it to do a break job on my 2005 Lincoln Navigator and it worked flawlessly. It has all the attachments to do the job and works perfectly. Definitely a good buy.

This will likely work for many vehicles but it did not work for my 2006 Mini Cooper S (R53). If you have this vehicle you should look at any other kit. It was extremely troublesome to use as the back plate didn't allow the caliper end to line-up properly. If I machined the back plate edges down it would probably work much better but save yourself the trouble and find something that works properly for the MINI.

The seller etoolscity, politely offered a refund after hearing of my issue. Very good customer service there. But seeing as how I over-nighted it, I decided not to lose out on the extra money I spent there. I'm sure it will work fine for other vehicles.

I bought this to do the rear brakes on a 2006 Ford Fusion. I'm sure I could have done it without this tool, but having the right tool for the job just makes things easier. This was the right tool; couldn't have worked better. I like the fact that the tool is magnetized so you just pick out the disc you need and pop it on. Once you get the tool snugged up you can slowly turn in the caliper while keeping the rubber boot on the caliper nice and straight. Glad I bought it!

All of these kits have the same problem. The reaction plate needs to be assembled onto the screw assembly to work--but it wasn't designed for that. I pressed one of the T-handle stops out and assembled the plate, then pressed the stop back on so it works. Then it won't fit in the case, so that went into the recycling bin and everything else went into a Ziploc bag.
