I ordered this on a whim not really expecting much and was pleasantly surprised. It is a really solid piece and quite beautifully made. The point is just about as sharp as you would ever want it to be. I use it as a keychain and didn't want something too large or that could cut through my pocket. I would hate to get punched with this thing. It's small but has good weight to it and, as I said, is plenty sharp enough to do some serious damage. Delivery took some time but that was possibly because of xmas. It came in a really nice silver/tin box which would make it kind of nice for a small gift. It's very subtle in appearance and someone would have to look closely or even play with it to realize what it is. I like that because I didn't want anything that screams "weapon" at a casual glance. I bought a kitty cat version of this kind of self defence tool for my wife and it's about twice the size and not nearly as well made. I think I might give her this one and order another for myself.

At first I was skeptical that it was titanium. One reviewer said it wasn't cause it scratches easy. Titanium does scratch easy. One thing it titanium doesn't do is be attracted by magnets. I tested this at home with a neodymium magnet. I also used a multimeter to test its electrical conductivity. It is a 1/4 the conductivity of stainless steel. Most people think it is like adamantium like wolverine's claws when it is not. In fact it is not as strong or hard as stainless steel.
Titanium has one if the best strength to weight ratios if not the best.
Titanium is roughly 95% the strength of Steel and has a lower hardness than steel.
Titanium is about 60% the weight of steel.
Titanium is also a poor conductor of heat, electricity, and cannot be magnetized.
This piece of art fits the description.

I do like how it does not appear to be weapon. I don't want people to know what it is because it can concern some people or it will cause people to make fun of you saying that you'll never need it. I just think it is a cool piece wether I use it or not.

Just received this today and will say I'm totally digging it. It fits very comfortably on both the index and middle finger, is super light, and doesn't look menacing on my key chain. Titanium anything is amazing when it comes to looks, strength and lightness. This keychain is no exception. The craftsmanship of the unit is top notch. It's so smooth and feels great in your hand. I gave this 2 stars just for the fact it was packaged nicely in a tin box and because it feels sturdy. After a week of carrying it, it is all scratched up and the letters are turning colors and fading as it is printed on and not engraved. The price of $40 is too high for the quality of this item. I wouldnt pay more than $15 for this.

Lightweight, and will be extremely effective for its intended purpose. I've got pretty big fingers so its not as easy to take off as to put on. I also bought one for my wife to take with her to the dog park.
