great boot so far

First of all I would like to say that this boot fits a little small I wear size 10w and I had to get the 11 extra wide. That aside I have had this boot for about a month now, I go out this time of the year hunting morels, and I end up in all sorts of terrain , rocks soft dirt, mud areas with a lot of leaves and weeds, And so far they are holding up well, staying waterproof and getting really good traction. also I forgot to mention they weigh less than combat boots, they are so lightweight you can't help but wonder how they will hold up, but im here to tell you theses are really tough. I HAVE PUT THEM THROUGH THE RINGER THE LAST FEW WEEKS. I will post any updates in the future.

Comfortable and Cool

I was in the military for some time and had to buy boots on a regular basis. Usually, I had to buy boots that were half to a full size larger than my tennis shoes or casual shoes. However, these were the exact same size when it came to tennis shoes. They are super comfortable, cool (temperature) and lightweight. I currently use them now for early Spring and late fall Turkey hunting. I have a pair of the Stone colored ones as well and they are just as great. I definitely recommend buying these.

Great boots.

Super light!! These feel lighter than my Ecco dress shoes! Took zero break-in. Good ankle support and very comfortable.

Fit: I ordered a half size up and wider than normally wear. I'm glad I did because these fit perfectly.

Great lightweight, and breathable boot

I purchased these boots for spring and summer outdoor activities and hunting. I have another pair of Irish Setter boots that I use during winter, which I love.

These are extremely light weight and very breathable. Perfect for warmer weather. Some other reviews have stated that the traction on the boots are poor, but I would disagree. I have thoroughly abused these boots, including walking across wet, and mossy rocks and don't find the traction to be any different than any other form of footwear. That type of terrain is just dangerous to walk on in the first place.

These are exceptionally comfortable and had no real complaints after having them on days at a time for 14+ hours. These boots are, however, slightly narrow, and about half an inch small compared to other boots I've worn.. Including my other Irish Setter boots.

Recently I've taken these to some very rugged desert terrain which has has very thick Cholla Cactus growth. These stood up very well, except for the cloth portions on the side. A cactus spine punctured all the way through into my foot (very painful!). I don't really fault the boot for this, as it's probably needed for breath ability, but wanted to remark on this.

The reason why I gave these 4 instead of 5 star are due to the small, tighter fit, as well as to the cactus terrain being rather unfriendly to them. I would have no problem buying these again though and believe their a great boot.

Comfortable, very light weight, good arch support. You can feel the terrain through the soles similar to wearing sneakers. Great for stalking, if you like a firm footbed and a heavy "boot" you will hate them. If you do a lot of stalking and want an idea of whats underfoot before you snap a stick or tip a rock over you will probably like them.... I put 12 miles on mine (1/2 of that was packing out an elk, with 70-100 lbs on my back) with no break-in, no blisters and no complaints... They do fit snug in the width but I like the extra support on the sides of my foot.

Nice Boot

I had to return the first pair because one boot had a ridge in the ball of the foot. You couldn't feel the ridge with you hand but you could feel i when they were worn. These look like very nice boots. They are lite so the should work well for three season hunts. I would have given more stars except for the return. Amazon was great on the return. I ordered a replacement and sent the first pair back all in just a few days.

Very nice hunting boot.

I also have them in black so that should show I like them. Fit true to size for me and are very comfortable. Wore the black ones all day. Plan to wear these this weekend. So not bad for just wearing around the neighborhood or town and believe they would make good day hikers and Hunting boots this Fall. Well done Irish Setter boots.

Took a bit to break them in. I still have a spot that rubs on the top of my foot but if I wear thick socks its not a problem.
