Shipping was as quick as I have ever experienced with Amazon. I received the stand in 3 days!!! Product was packed well but there were no instructions included. it is not that the assembly was difficult since there are only four parts. Here are my major cautions/comments: First, the ends of the shaft were very tight fitting into the base and platform making assembly a bit difficult. Since there were no instructions/assembly tips, I just hammered the pieces together using a block of wood and a mallet. All pieces eventually pressed in place but it did take some effort. If I were to do it again, I would try beeswax or soap to lube the passages. The second issue I ran into was that the pre cut channels did not line up with the mounting holes on my grinder. I had to mark and drill out all four holes. I have an 8" Ryobi grinder which was purchased at Home Depot. If you run into this issue and have to drill yours out, be prepared with a sharp, high-speed steel drill bit as the platform is very thick steel. Once drilled out, my grinder bolted down very snug and all will be fine from hear on out. The base does have pre-drilled holes which allows you to bolt your stand into the floor. I did not see the need to do this as the stand is fairly heavy and solid and has not shown signs of wobble. Overall I would recommend this product for the low price and quick shipping.

I have made many a grinder stand over the years and just wanted a simple quick solution this time. This stand fit the bill perfectly. It is 30.25" tall from floor to top of the table, is heavy cast iron for the base and table. The upright is just thin wall tubing but is plenty for a DEWALT 8" grinder. It is very stable and the feet are predrilled if you need to install casters. With the 8" grinder installed it is 43" from the floor to the top of the grinder safety guards. The dip well is a pretty cheap plastic piece and was chipped when it arrived but I didn't care about that, just mount an old coffee can with the supplied screws and issue solved. Very satisfied for the price. If you don't need an adjustable height stand this is the best option for the money. The

This is a basic stand with little to no frills. Coolant/ tool bucket mentioned in description is one bucket. It's a little deep for a coolant bucket unless long items are being ground. The package was mostly open when it arrived, but it was within it's own package inside. It appears to be a heavy paint, but it still suffered shipping damage. One of those chips was about 1.5" across. The post fit snugly into both bottom and top. Set bolts appear to pretty cheap and the potential to strip threads or the head when tightening looks substantial. I have assebled the stand, have not tigtened the set screws or installed the coolant/tool bucket. I may look into my options. Also, this does not have any rubber feet so you may need to get those based on the application. Overall, for a cheap stand, it's all of that and should get the job done.

This is NOT heavy duty. First the stand came in a smashed up box. After opening the first box the column was scratched up and very light duty. I put the stand together and had to drill out the pre drilled hole and tap a bigger hole as the screws were wrong. The bottom of the stand was rusted so I cleaned up the rust in the Sand Blaster and repainted it. I think a plastic cup from any fast food would be far better than what they call a coolant tank. I gave it two stars. 1. Amazon has fast shipping and does a good job. 2. the top plate was ok. I am color blind so I might have this wrong but the picture looks white and it showed up here grey.. I would make my own next time and not be lazy..
