- The disks offered here are laser-cut from sheets based on 3M's 300LSE, which is one the strongest and most versatile double-sided adhesives commercially available. No other double-sided adhesive offers greater bond strength with a larger variety of materials than 3M's 300LSE. For that reason 300LSE adhesives are extensively used in the auto and electronics industry, especially with mobile phones and tablets.
- The disks here are cut from sheets of 9474LE, which is one of than 10 different 300LSE-based double-sided adhesive tapes/sheets made by 3M. Among these different products 9474LE has the most sophisticated design: it is constructed with three layers, two layers of 300LSE adhesive and an ultrathin, stabilizing polyester carrier sandwiched between them. This design provides the best handling characteristics and resistance to shear forces among all 300LSE-based double-sided adhesives.
- As an additional improvement, we applied a so-called "kiss cut," a shallow cut through only the first liner (see product photo). This feature makes it easy to separate the first liner and assures that you are not touching the adhesive with your fingers when trying to peel of that liner. The thickness of the adhesive only (without the liners) is 0.0067 inch (0.17 mm).
