I bought this after almost buying a lower end like the Canon Laser imageCLASS MF4890dw. That is $199 and has nearly 5 stars. This one, the MF6160dw, has just 3.5 stars review average and I read the reviews and didn't like at all the bad reviews so I decided not to buy it. But one guy was selling for only $240 new here on amazon so I took a chance since the pages per second printing and scanning is nearly double that of the lower end 4890dw. I have owned many other Brother and Canon printers. But I must say, this is the best I have owned. I just printed 100 high quality pages with images and graphics in a very short amount of time. The double sided scanning and printing is super fast as well. I have not played around the wireless printing yet, perhaps it is slow, I have no idea. I did need to buy a USB cable but on it is amazingly fast. And there are no streaks in scanning as the most popular review states. Moreover, there is a simple way to clean debris from a plastic guard under the cover. So hopefully if streaks ever show it can be easily fixed. I will update as I use more to make sure it works long term.

Pros:
1. Prints fast
2. Document Feeder doesn't skip pages
3. Wireless (Can print from I-phone, I-pad, PC etc.) - very convenient.
4. Excellent Customer Support
Cons:
1. When using document feeder a vertical line would form on the copies. (Solved with the help of customer support - basically the document glass area was dirty and it would form a streak - just had to remove long plastic cover at the far left edge of glass and wiped it with Windex)
2. Printer did not want to accept envelopes - error message would show up. (Solved with the help of customer support - had to completely open the feeder tray, it has an additional plastic component that has to be taken out and select No. 10 C0M 10 which is the name for envelopes in the options provided in the printer's LCD display) Also, so that I wouldn't need to select envelopes on the keypad every time I printed envelopes what I did was to set envelopes as the default tray feature by going to the Key Pad and pressing the Select Paper / Settings button and selecting No. 10 COM 10 for the feeder tray.
USE:
This printer is used on a daily basis at my Law Office to print, copy, fax, scan etc. We have had it since February 2015 and so far it has worked flawlessly except for the two items mentioned above that were easily resolved with the help of customer support. 631-330-5000

This is the best printer i have ever owned. I used to be an HP fan but this multiple function model is far superior to anything I'd purchased before. Also, Canon Tech Support is outstanding. I got an agent on the very first try, who talked me through the installation. My CD ROM was acting up and the tech just took me to usa.cannon.com and twenty minutes later we had my laptop and PC hooked up. The price is right too. I'm a very careful consumer, carefully researching everything I buy. This is a lot of machine for the money.

Nice product. It is reasonably fast and does duplex printing. Much improved over my old inkjet. It was easy to set up, even on a Mac (it doesn't come with a disk for Mac). Noisier than I expected. Overall I am satisfied with the purchase.

I bought this model because my old (2 years) Image class would not work with Windows 7. After the purchase I find that the printer is not able to print out a single check unless it is part of a sheet of three or two. My old Canon could do this as can my HP printer. Also every time you want to switch to the multi paper drawer you need to go into the copier software and make the change. The good news - the support was fast, knowledgeable and in the USA.

We got 14 of these setup around the office. A few had some fan issues but they seemed to clear up after a few weeks. We also pre-ordered them before they were available and for a brand new printer not finding that many problems with it. Also got the extra Tray for the bottom and love that.
