After nine years, the sliding doors started hanging up and not opening or closing all the way. The nylon roller had fallen off and the door was meeting enough resistance that the sensor was kicking in. I ordered both left and right (still can't figure out why Amazon has different costs for left and right items, even though they are mirror images!) and researched YouTube to find out how to install. It turns out that you don't have to remove the inside panel on the van to replace this part. It's really simple: remove tail light assembly to expose bolt on rear track cover; slide door open to remove Philips head screw on front of track cover (it's behind the handle, so a long screwdriver worked best); close the door MOST of the way and slide track cover toward front of van to remove; open door all of the way and put the scissor jack on floor and extend to level of door so when you remove the bolts on the roller assembly, the door doesn't fall - after I removed the bolts, I moved the door away from van to give me a little extra room to get to the roller; remove roller from track and there is just enough slack in cable to use needle nose pliers to gently turn the cable to line up with slot and remove it (the cable does need to come out of the guide at rear end of track - there are two clips - top and bottom - that you need to depress to be able to slide guide to rear of van to free up the cable to get your slack if the cable is on the inner part of the H shaped guide); the other cable comes out super easy now; remove the clip on the pin that goes through the part that attaches to door and tap a few times with a hammer to remove the pin; attach the new rollers to the old door bracket and put the clip back on after you tap pin in with the hammer.Read more ›

The rollers on my 07 odyssey wore out as they will on all odysseys. The dorman rollers are a good, cheaper alternative to the oem. Installation was quite easy with a little help from odyclub.com. There's a nice step by step write-up on the forum there. The worst part of it all was cleaning the old grease from the roller channels and sliding door assemblies. The rollers should not be greased, nor should the tracks or any other part of it as it attracts dust and will shorten the life of the rollers. A dry lubricant should be used instead, grease that is full of dust acts like sandpaper and will wear parts very quickly.

I installed this part after the original nylon rollers failed. 9 months later I'm again replacing the rollers but also get to replace the door motor. The motor tore itself apart when the weak metal on this part that holds the terminal pins of the motor cable failed and the cables retracted into the motor. This part is $32, the OEM version $53 and the door motor = $270. Add in the combined 6 hrs of labor and I'd say the extra $21 for the OEM version of this part is a no-brainer.

Like many other reviews here somehow this Passenger side one is worst than the Driver side one (924-128). No idea why that is! After I replaced the original one with this the door slide fine for ONE week, then the intermittent jerking/pause started again! I will most likely going to replace this with the Honda Genuine part once this stop working or later this summer whichever happens earlier.

I am adding more info. b/c the left one had completely stopped working and my door won't open now! This is somehow still working but I am definitely going to replace it ASAP... just hope it last another month when I get the time to do it. Horrible product!

The center bearing wheel broke and wedged my door open for most of Thanksgiving day 4 months after it was installed. So while my family enjoyed the day with each other I was outside trying to get the door shut so we could drive 200 miles home. I wrote to Amazon on warranty information but it remains unanswered 7 days later. I just ordered an OEM replacement off of eBay.

Exactly the same as OEM--for better or worse. Same as pictured. Made in Turkey. Replaced on passenger side door of 2005 Honda Odyssey.

However...I can't understand why Honda would use a nylon roller-bearing on a critical high-wear part. Dorman would have done well to have improved the product...possibly by using a steel roller bearing. You have a failed ten-cent (plastic) part as part of a $30 assembly and an otherwise $200 repair job at a dealership. Bad engineering if you're selling high-quality reliable cars; good if your profit depends on service and selling high-margin parts.

Very disappointed. Item was easy to install, and worked great... for 3 weeks. The driver side door was opening, when I heard a snap... followed by two halves of one the plastic rollers bouncing around on the ground. Being the driver side, the door had very little use since being installed. The passenger side has held up so far after 1 month of use, so the part might have been defective. I will attempt to contact Dorman/Amazon for a replacement and follow-up on the review with that experience.

Inferior to genuine part. Lasted for less than a year. Our 2005 Odyssey suffered the inevitable sliding door breakdown, and the center roller was the culprit. Thought I would save $40 by going with this aftermarket product. Instead my total cost is much higher because now I have to buy another roller and pay for labor again. Sometimes aftermarket products are perfect substitutes and last a long time. This one fits like the genuine part but does not have equivalent durability.
