Broke within two months the first time. Repair guy came out and said they have problems with these models, either the circuit board, or wth wiring in the door comes loose from the door being opened and closed. So then a few months later same think clock starts flicking off and on when door opens and closes, fixed again. Repair guy tells my husband how to fix. One year and 5 months later DEAD, and warranty expired. So today I need to go find a new microwave. I am hesitant with buying another Samsung, I don't think I will buy another with control panel in the door. When they repair doesn't even ask and he says he knows already what your problem is it might have been a clue. We may have just gotten a dud, but I am not so sure. I love Samsung fridges, and usually their microwaves(dishwasher fall apart piece by piece). This was our second Samsung microwave, I really liked the kids could reach the control panel and my short self too.

Samsung microwave arrived and turntable didn't work- I have spend 3.5 hours on hold over 2 weeks of calling 'customer service' and they have not offered a solution to the issue. Worst customer service I have experienced in a long time! I will not purchase anything Samsung again.

1.0 out of 5 starsBeware: Samsung Microwaves Have a High Repair Rate and Their Customer Service is Terrible

BEWARE: I purchased a very similar Samsung microwave: model SMH9207ST, and have had a horrible experience with the unit and with Samsung’s customer service. I recently looked up the Samsung microwave repair rate on Consumer Reports and found that Samsung has the HIGHEST REPAIR RATE OF ALL MANUFACTURERS tested and had more than double the repair issues of any other microwave manufacturer. Dealing with this issue has been so frustrating and such a hassle that I will never buy another Samsung product again. My problems with Samsung began shortly after I bought the microwave when the door latch broke. After a few weeks, the microwave was replaced with an identical unit; which developed a charred, electrical burn mark between the door frame and the base unit just a couple of months after the replacement. A Samsung factory service technician examined the microwave and determined that the burn did not occur due to user error or “abuse”, and that the unit was not repairable. Now, after two months of continuous calls into Samsung’s Executive Customer Service, I am still trying to resolve this issue and am still without a microwave. Samsung’s Customer Service has been VERY UNRESPONSIVE and I NEVER GET THE SAME INFORMATION from different representatives (I don’t know how Samsung trains their Executive Customer Representatives but none of the reps I have spoken with seem to know the complete picture of how to process a refund for a defective product). Also, only one of the multiple Customer Reps I have spoken to over the past few months has actually completed what they said they would do. Finally, if Samsung actually does provide me with a refund, they have made it clear that they will not refund the taxes paid for the unit ($30) or refund for the installation fees ($100); so I am out $130 because of this defective Samsung microwave.

Had this Samsung ME21F707 installed last week. It is a beautiful microwave. I love the dark enamel interior, as it is eary to clean. Interior is 2.1 cubic feet which is plenty large. Microwave looks just beautiful in the kitchen. LED lighting is excellent. So far I am very happy.

I did get the 5 year extended warranty, as I think many microwaves have trouble. My last three GE microwaves all failed within two years. So this time I finally got the extended warranty. Otherwise what a nice microwave this is!

The door is not durable. We had ours for a year and a piece of plastic broke within the door itself that was used to help shut the microwave. It snapped off - and it was so expensive to replace - we bought a new microwave. All these microwaves are made of plastic these days and when you have a family that uses it often - you need something more durable.
